Today is the most challenging yet rewarding day of your trek as you begin the ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro. Your journey to the summit starts around midnight to take advantage of cooler temperatures and clear skies. You'll trek through the dark night, guided by headlamps and the stars above. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach Stella Point, located on the crater rim. From there, you'll continue the final push to Uhuru Peak, where you'll witness a breathtaking sunrise and an overwhelming sense of achievement. After celebrating at the summit, you'll descend back to Barafu Camp for a well-deserved breakfast before continuing further to Millennium Camp.
