Good morning, trekkers! It's time to wake up early and enjoy a hearty breakfast to fuel up for the journey ahead. Today, we'll be trekking from Kikilewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp, covering a distance of 6 km and gaining 1,320 meters in elevation. As we begin our ascent, the scenery around us will change from lush rainforest to the rocky terrain of the Shira Plateau. We'll have the opportunity to admire the stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including Kibo, Mawenzi, and Meru. After a short rest at the Lava Tower, we'll continue our trek towards Mawenzi Tarn Camp, located at the base of Mawenzi Volcano. Along the way, we'll have the chance to acclimatize with a short but challenging trek to the summit of Mawenzi, gaining 200 meters in elevation.

As we begin our ascent, the landscape will change dramatically from the rocky terrain of Mawenzi Tarn Camp to a semi-desert terrain. We will be treated to breath-taking views of the surrounding peaks, including Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. The trek today will be a balanced one, with moderate inclines and declines. We will need to be mindful of our pace to ensure that we maintain our strength for the final ascent to Uhuru Peak. Once we reach School Hut Camp, we will take some time to rest and refuel. It is essential that we get a good night's sleep, as we will be making an early ascent the following morning to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro

As we prepare for the final leg of our trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro, we wake up early in the morning and have breakfast before starting our ascent to Uhuru Peak. The trek to Uhuru Peak is a moderate one, covering a distance of 21 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1,125 meters. We will be accompanied by our guides throughout the trek to monitor our stamina and mental resolve. As we ascend, the landscape will change dramatically, and we will be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The trek to Uhuru Peak will be challenging, but we will be well-prepared and motivated by the knowledge that our efforts will culminate in a triumphant summit. After reaching the summit, we will descend to Horombo Camp, which is located at an elevation of 3,720 meters. But before we do, we will have the opportunity to share our thoughts on the trip in the guestbook and receive our commemorative certificates. Our guides will also provide transportation back to the hotel, so we can relax and reflect on our incredible adventure.
