After breakfast, you will continue hikeking through the forest, reaching the moorland and heath zone. Along the way, you will be treated to magnificent views of the Barranco valleys and the icy peak of the mountain. Finally, you will reach Barranco Camp where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Today's hike will be short, covering a distance of 6 km over 4-5 hours. You'll start by hiking the Barranco Wall, reaching an elevation of 4200m for acclimatization. Then, you'll continue traversing ridges and valleys, eventually reaching Karanga campsite for a hot lunch. Afterward, you'll take a short rest and hike up the screed slopes towards the Southern ice field for further acclimatization. Finally, you'll return to the camp for dinner and spend the night there.

The hike from Karanga campsite to Barafu campsite covers a distance of 5 km. The hiking time is around 3-4 hours. The habitat changes to an Alpine Desert. This leg of the journey is challenging due to the altitude, so it's important to take it slow and prevent fatigue and altitude sickness. As you walk through the alpine desert, expect strong cold winds since there are no trees around. You'll also get closer to the Kibo glaciers. You'll have lunch and an early dinner, resting until midnight when the summit hike begins.

Start the day with a light breakfast before embarking on your summit ascent. The goal is to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point, shortly before or after sunrise. Leave around midnight, hike up steep scree or snow. Reach Stella Point on the crater rim at 5,861m between 4 and 5am, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the crater and surrounding area. Continue hiking for about an hour along the Kibo crater rim to reach Uhuru Peak. Take some time for photos and summit activities. Descend back to Barafu Hut campsite for lunch, rest, and equipment collection. Then, continue the descent through moorland and heath zone to Mweka Hut campsite. Have dinner and overnight at Mweka Hut campsite.
