Day 1: Moshi to Machame Gate to Machame Camp Kilimanjaro Hiking

After a hearty breakfast at the resort, a one-hour scenic drive will take you to the Machame Route's starting point. There, you'll complete the necessary park formalities and meet your experienced crew of porters who will accompany you throughout the hike. The hike commences, leading you through dense and breathtaking forests, which can get muddy and wet at times. The Machame Hut at 3,100 meters will be your resting place for the night. You'll enjoy a well-deserved dinner and sleep in comfortable double occupancy tents, sharing with a fellow hiker.

Day 2: Hiking From Machame Camp to Shira Cave Camp

The journey continues with a steady hike through the forest until you reach the scenic Shira Plateau. Tonight's campsite is at Shira Caves, situated at 3,840 meters above sea level. Again, you'll share a cozy tent with a fellow hiker, and the crew will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner to keep you energized for the hike.

Day 3: Shira Cave Camp Hiking Kilimanjaro to Barranco Camp

Today, you'll traverse the southwest side of Kilimanjaro, passing underneath the Lava Tower and the final section of the Western Breach. This part of the hike involves hiking at high altitudes, but the hike high, sleep low principle is followed to aid acclimatization and prevent altitude sickness. The Barranco Camp at 3,900 meters will be your home for the night. The crew will ensure you are well-fed and rested for the next leg of the journey.

Day 4: Barranco Camp Kilimanjaro to Karanga Camp

As you hike through arid lands, you'll head towards the Karanga Valley at 4,000 meters, where you'll spend the night in a double occupancy tent, sharing your experiences with another hiker.

The stunning views will motivate you, and the team will provide you with nutritious meals to keep you energized for the challenging day ahead.

Day 6: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and Millennium Camp Kilimanjaro up to Summit

Today is the summit day, and it begins around midnight to avoid walking in the heat of the sun. The ascent is steep, and you'll hike for 5 to 6 hours over scree. At Stella Point (5,750 meters), you'll witness a breathtaking sunrise and the spectacular ice cliffs within the crater. After about an hour's walk, you'll reach the highest point, Uhuru Peak (5,896 meters), where you'll experience a sense of freedom and accomplishment. After celebrating and capturing memories, you'll begin the descent to Barafu Camp for breakfast. After a short rest, you'll continue to Millennium Camp at 3,000 meters, where you'll spend the night.

After completing park formalities and receiving your certificate of ascent, our vehicles will take you back to Moshi. You can indulge in a well-deserved shower and celebrate your achievement with cold beverages.
