Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak (5895m/19340ft) to Mweka Camp.

Around midnight, your final ascent to Uhuru Peak begins. You'll navigate this challenging trek by the light of your headlamp for the next six hours. The trail is steep until you reach the crater rim at Stella Point. From there, the trek to Uhuru Peak is a gradual trek and, while not extremely difficult, the high altitude makes it a long and strenuous trek. It typically takes about one hour to reach Uhuru Peak. Once you arrive, take in the breathtaking views, capture photos with your guide and fellow trekkers, and savor the moment of triumph. The descent from Uhuru Peak provides stunning vistas of the mountain, crater, clouds, and glaciers. Back at Barafu Camp, you'll enjoy a well-deserved breakfast and a short break before continuing your descent to Mweka Camp. This portion of the journey takes an additional three to five hours. Accommodation: Mweka Camp. Meals & Drinks: All meals included. Drinking water (Other drinks not included).

In the morning, after a hearty breakfast, you'll begin your descent to Mweka Gate. The trek is pleasant, taking you through the lower rain-forested slopes and eventually leading you to Mweka Gate at an altitude of 1,640 meters. Although you'll cover a distance of 9 kilometers (approximately 5.5 miles), the trek should only take 3-4 hours. Upon successful completion of your trek to Stella Point or Uhuru Peak, you'll receive official certificates—a green certificate for Stella Point and a gold certificate for Uhuru Peak. It's customary to express your gratitude to the trekking crew through tips at this point. At Mweka Gate, a vehicle will be waiting to transport you back to your hotel in Moshi, a journey of about 30 minutes. Here, you can rest, reflect on your incredible achievement, and prepare for your departure. Accommodation: No accommodation (End of tour). Meals & Drinks: Breakfast and lunch included. Drinking water (Other drinks not included).
