Our guide will collect you from your Nairobi hotel, residence or airport between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Your Kenya New Year safari will travel approximately 270 kilometres to Maasai Mara over five to six hours. Our journey will pass through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, Mai Mahiu and Narok before reaching your midrange lodge or tented camp. After lunch, check-in and relaxation, you will leave at approximately 3:30 p.m. for an afternoon game drive. You may observe elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and possible predators before returning at sunset for dinner.

Day 2: Full-Day New Year Wildlife Safari in Maasai Mara

Full-Day New Year Wildlife Safari in Maasai Mara

After breakfast at approximately 6:00 a.m., your New Year safari will continue with a full-day game drive beginning at around 6:30 a.m. Your vehicle may cover between 70 and 120 kilometres over eight to ten hours while searching for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and grazing herds. A packed lunch will be served at a designated picnic site. Depending on your travel date and selected accommodation, your evening may include a New Year’s Eve dinner, music, entertainment or countdown event.

Day 3: Second Maasai Mara New Year Safari Day

Second Maasai Mara New Year Safari Day

You will have an early breakfast and depart at approximately 6:30 a.m. for another full-day New Year safari in Maasai Mara. You may travel between 60 and 110 kilometres while exploring wildlife territories not covered on the previous day. Our guide will help you search for predators, elephants, giraffes and other animals while allowing time for New Year photographs at safe locations. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the reserve before your afternoon safari continues. Exact celebrations will depend on the lodge and confirmed travel date.

After breakfast around 6:30 a.m., you will check out at approximately 7:30 a.m. Your Kenya New Year safari will continue approximately 240 to 260 kilometres to Lake Nakuru over five to six hours. Our guide will include suitable comfort and refreshment stops along the road. You will arrive at your midrange accommodation for a late lunch and relaxation. The evening can be used to rest, review photographs or enjoy the lodge facilities before dinner.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru Safari to Lake Naivasha

Lake Nakuru Safari to Lake Naivasha

You will enter Lake Nakuru National Park at approximately 6:30 a.m. for a three-to-four-hour game drive covering around 30 to 50 kilometres. Our guide will search for black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks and birds. After returning for breakfast or early lunch, you will check out and travel approximately 75 to 90 kilometres to Lake Naivasha over one-and-a-half to two hours. After arrival and relaxation, you may enjoy an optional boat excursion or lakeside nature activity. A private New Year meal may be arranged depending on your confirmed dates.

After breakfast, you will check out and begin the approximately 330-to-350-kilometre journey to Amboseli. The road transfer takes around six to seven hours and passes through the Nairobi bypass region and Emali. Our guide will include comfort, refreshment and meal stops. After arriving at your midrange accommodation, you will have an afternoon meal and relax. Depending on arrival time, you may join a short evening game drive. A final New Year celebration dinner may be requested at selected lodges.

Day 7: Amboseli New Year Safari to Nairobi

Your final wildlife experience will begin at approximately 6:15 a.m. and continue for around three hours. You may cover between 30 and 50 kilometres while exploring Amboseli’s wetlands, open plains and acacia habitats. Our guide will search for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos and birds, while Mount Kilimanjaro may be visible when weather conditions are favourable. You will return for breakfast, check out and travel approximately 215 to 230 kilometres to Nairobi over four to five hours. Drop-off will be provided at your hotel, residence or airport.
