Our guide will collect you from your Nairobi hotel, residence or airport between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Your Kenya New Year safari will travel approximately 270 kilometres to Maasai Mara over five to six hours. Our journey will pass through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, Mai Mahiu and Narok before reaching your midrange lodge or tented camp. After lunch, check-in and relaxation, you will leave at approximately 3:30 p.m. for an afternoon game drive. You may observe elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and possible predators before returning at sunset for dinner.

A packed lunch will be served at a designated picnic site. Depending on your travel date and selected accommodation, your evening may include a New Year’s Eve dinner, music, entertainment or countdown event.

You will enter Lake Nakuru National Park at approximately 6:30 a.m. for a three-to-four-hour game drive covering around 30 to 50 kilometres. Our guide will search for black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks and birds. After returning for breakfast or early lunch, you will check out and travel approximately 120 kilometres to Lake Bogoria over about three hours. You may enjoy an afternoon visit to accessible geothermal and lakeshore areas before dinner.

Your day will begin with an early two-to-three-hour exploration around Lake Bogoria.
