7 Days Kenya New Year Safari Celebration with Midrange Accommodation

Our guide will collect you from your Nairobi hotel, residence or airport between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Your Kenya New Year safari will travel approximately 270 kilometres to Maasai Mara over five to six hours. Our journey will pass through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, Mai Mahiu and Narok before reaching your midrange lodge or tented camp. After lunch, check-in and relaxation, you will leave at approximately 3:30 p.m. for an afternoon game drive. You may observe elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and possible predators before returning at sunset for dinner.

After breakfast at approximately 6:00 a.m., your New Year safari will continue with a full-day game drive beginning at around 6:30 a.m. Your vehicle may cover between 70 and 120 kilometres over eight to ten hours while searching for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and grazing herds. A packed lunch will be served at a designated picnic site. Depending on your travel date and selected accommodation, your evening may include a New Year’s Eve dinner, music, entertainment or countdown event.

You may travel between 60 and 110 kilometres while exploring wildlife territories not covered on the previous day. Our guide will help you search for predators, elephants, giraffes and other animals while allowing time for New Year photographs at safe locations. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the reserve before the afternoon safari continues. Exact New Year celebrations depend on the lodge and confirmed travel date.

Our guide will include suitable comfort and refreshment stops along the route. You will arrive at your midrange accommodation for a late lunch and relaxation. The evening can be used to rest, review photographs or enjoy the lodge facilities before dinner.

You will enter Lake Nakuru National Park at approximately 6:30 a.m. for a three-to-four-hour game drive covering around 30 to 50 kilometres. Our guide will search for black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks and birds. After returning for breakfast or early lunch, you will check out and travel approximately 120 kilometres to Lake Bogoria over about three hours. You may enjoy an afternoon visit to accessible geothermal and lakeshore areas before dinner.

Your day will begin with an early two-to-three-hour exploration around Lake Bogoria. Depending on natural conditions, your New Year safari may include seasonal flamingos, waterbirds, hot springs and escarpment scenery. You will return for breakfast, check out and drive approximately 150 to 170 kilometres to Lake Naivasha over three to four hours. After lunch and relaxation, you may add a boat excursion or lakeside nature experience. A final New Year celebration dinner may be requested at selected accommodation.

After breakfast between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., you may enjoy an optional morning activity before checking out at approximately 10:00 a.m. The final section of your Kenya New Year safari will cover around 90 kilometres from Lake Naivasha to Nairobi, taking approximately two to two-and-a-half hours. Our guide will drop you at your Nairobi hotel, private residence, Wilson Airport or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport between approximately 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
