This 7-day Kenya wildlife safari with midrange accommodations offers a complete journey through Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli National Park. You will spend an afternoon and two full days exploring Maasai Mara in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes and grazing herds. Your safari will then continue to Lake Nakuru for rhino encounters, Lake Naivasha for freshwater wildlife and Amboseli for large elephant herds and possible views of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will travel in a private safari vehicle with an experienced guide and stay in carefully selected midrange lodges or tented camps throughout the journey.
Our guide will collect you from Nairobi between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. before your Kenya wildlife safari with midrange accommodations begins. You will travel approximately 270 kilometres to Maasai Mara over five to six hours, passing through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and Narok town. After arriving at your midrange lodge or tented camp, you will have lunch, check in and relax. At approximately 3:30 p.m., you will begin an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, lions and cheetahs before returning for dinner.

You will wake up at approximately 5:45 a.m. and have breakfast before leaving at 6:30 a.m. Your Kenya wildlife safari may cover between 70 and 120 kilometres during eight to ten hours inside Maasai Mara. Our guide will explore open savannah, riverine woodland and seasonal streams while searching for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes and plains animals. A packed lunch will be enjoyed at a designated picnic site before your afternoon game drive continues.

After breakfast, your Kenya wildlife safari will continue with another full-day game drive beginning at approximately 6:30 a.m. You may travel between 60 and 110 kilometres while visiting areas not explored on the previous day. Our guide will use animal tracks, recent sightings and wildlife behaviour to locate rewarding encounters. During the migration season, large wildebeest and zebra herds may be present, but their exact movements cannot be guaranteed. A picnic lunch will be served inside the reserve.

You will have breakfast at approximately 6:30 a.m. and check out around 7:30 a.m. Your wildlife safari journey will cover approximately 240 to 260 kilometres to Lake Nakuru over five to six hours. Our guide will provide refreshment and washroom stops along the route. After arriving at your Lake Nakuru midrange accommodation, you will enjoy a late lunch, check in and relax. The quiet afternoon will prepare you for the following morning’s rhino and birdlife game drive.

You will begin your Lake Nakuru game drive at approximately 6:30 a.m. and cover around 30 to 50 kilometres over three to four hours. During this part of your Kenya wildlife safari, our guide will search for black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, baboons and birds. After returning for breakfast or early lunch, you will check out and drive approximately 75 to 90 kilometres to Lake Naivasha over one-and-a-half to two hours. After checking in at your midrange accommodation, you may enjoy an optional boat ride to observe hippos, fish eagles and pelicans.

After arriving at your midrange accommodation, you will have a late lunch or afternoon meal and rest. Depending on arrival time, you may enjoy a short evening game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras and other animals.

Your final wildlife activity will begin at approximately 6:15 a.m. with a three-hour game drive covering around 30 to 50 kilometres. Our guide will search for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos, lions and birds around Amboseli’s wetlands and open plains. Mount Kilimanjaro may be visible when weather conditions are favourable. After returning for breakfast, you will check out and drive approximately 215 to 230 kilometres to Nairobi over four to five hours. Drop-off will be provided at your selected hotel, residence or airport.
