7 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari with Premium Lodge Stays

Experience a 7-day Kenya wildlife safari with premium lodge stays across Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Bogoria and Lake Naivasha from Nairobi.

A Signature Seven-Day Wildlife Circuit from the Mara to Naivasha

This 7-day Kenya wildlife safari with premium lodge stays brings together two complete days in the Maasai Mara and an expertly paced passage through Lake Nakuru, Lake Bogoria and Lake Naivasha. The circuit moves from predator-rich savannah and riverine habitat to rhino country, alkaline-lake geology and a freshwater wetland, giving travellers a broad understanding of Kenya’s wildlife landscapes in one private road journey. Our guide manages early starts, game-drive strategy, meals and transfers while premium camps or lodges provide comfortable rooms, attentive service and restorative evenings. Accommodation is selected by confirmed property, room category, location and meal plan; features such as air conditioning, plunge pools, spas, private dining or in-room charging are never assumed. The package values quality field time and honest interpretation, with wildlife sightings, migration events, flamingo concentrations, geothermal activity and lake conditions left to nature.

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara – Premium Arrival in Big-Game Country

Nairobi to Maasai Mara – Premium Arrival in Big-Game Country

Private Road Journey

Meet our safari driver-guide at the confirmed Nairobi hotel or airport point around 6:30 a.m. After a route and safety briefing, you will travel 225–280 km through Mai Mahiu and Narok to the selected Maasai Mara gate or premium camp. Allow 5–6.5 hours of driving excluding breakfast, the Rift Valley viewpoint, lunch and comfort stops. A private vehicle keeps seating, luggage and stops organised around your party.

Afternoon Game Drive

Lunch is served en route or after arrival, usually between 1:00 and 2:30 p.m. Following check-in, enjoy a 2–3-hour introductory game drive through accessible grassland and acacia habitat. Your guide looks for elephants, giraffes, plains game, birds and predators where they naturally occur, but no Big Five sighting is promised. Return around sunset for dinner at the premium camp or lodge. The team will confirm breakfast time, wake-up arrangements and any charging location before you retire.

Day 2: Maasai Mara – Full-Day Wildlife Safari Across the Plains

Maasai Mara – Full-Day Wildlife Safari Across the Plains

Early Wildlife Search

Wake-up is arranged near 5:30 a.m., with breakfast served early or packed before departure around 6:00 a.m. The first 3–4 hours use cooler conditions to explore plains, marshes or river approaches selected from the lodge sector and current wildlife information. Our guide maintains legal, respectful positioning and avoids blocking animal movement even when a sought-after species appears.

Mara at Full Scale

Lunch is taken at an authorised picnic site or the lodge when routing makes a split day practical. The complete outing commonly lasts 8–10 hours, though kilometres vary with roads and sightings rather than a preset target. Afternoon viewing may reveal different behaviour as animals move toward shade or water. Migration herds and crossings are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed. You will return by about 6:00 p.m. for a shower, dinner and time to enjoy the confirmed lodge facilities. Premium service supports the safari; it does not replace the unpredictability of the wild.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Rivers, Marshes and a Second Full Game Drive

Maasai Mara – Rivers, Marshes and a Second Full Game Drive

Explore Beyond One Route

After breakfast around 6:00 a.m., set out for a second full day designed to deepen the Mara experience. Where access permits, our guide selects a habitat that contrasts with Day 2—perhaps riverine woodland, a marsh system or another open-plain sector. The morning drive lasts 3–4 hours before lunch, with time for both wildlife observation and landscape interpretation.

Afternoon in the Ecosystem

A picnic or lodge lunch divides the day, followed by continued game viewing until roughly 5:30 p.m. The combined activity can last 8–10 hours, but actual distance remains flexible because animal movement, weather and track conditions shape the route. Lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino and every other species are possibilities rather than guarantees. You will return to the premium camp near sunset for dinner, luggage organisation and a transfer briefing. The guide confirms the following day’s road conditions and expected Nakuru arrival rather than promising a fixed time.

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru – Premium Comfort Across the Rift

Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru – Premium Comfort Across the Rift

Northbound Transfer

Breakfast is served from about 6:00 a.m., with check-out and departure near 7:00 a.m. The 220–270 km road journey to the Lake Nakuru area takes roughly 5–6.5 hours without lunch, traffic, roadworks or long stops. The route crosses Narok and cultivated highlands before reaching the cooler Rift Valley landscape around Nakuru. Your private vehicle allows planned comfort breaks without mixing schedules with another group.

Nakuru Check-In

Lunch is arranged on the road or near Nakuru, and arrival usually falls between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. After check-in at the confirmed premium lodge, enjoy rest or a short 1.5–2-hour introductory park drive when location, daylight and gate hours permit. Otherwise, the main game drive starts early next morning. Dinner is expected around 7:30 p.m. Room category, bed type, views, air conditioning and other property features are supplied only as shown in the written accommodation confirmation.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Lake Bogoria – Rhino Sanctuary and Alkaline Lake

Lake Nakuru to Lake Bogoria – Rhino Sanctuary and Alkaline Lake

Nakuru Game Drive

After an early breakfast or with a packed meal, enter Lake Nakuru National Park near 6:30 a.m. The 3–4-hour wildlife drive explores accessible fever-tree woodland, grassland, rocky viewpoints and shoreline habitat. The park is recognised for rhino conservation and rich birdlife, while lions, leopards and large flamingo gatherings remain unpredictable. Our guide follows current track and shoreline restrictions throughout the experience.

Premium Bogoria Stay

Lunch is taken around noon before driving 85–150 km to the Lake Bogoria area. The transfer normally requires 2–3 hours, with distance varying by Nakuru exit, selected reserve gate and lodge location. Check in during the afternoon and relax or take a short authorised orientation when daylight allows. Bogoria’s geothermal ground can be unstable and dangerously hot, so the guide’s route and reserve instructions are mandatory. Dinner is served at approximately 7:30 p.m.; lodge facilities differ, and any spa, pool or special dining service must be specifically confirmed.

Day 6: Lake Bogoria to Lake Naivasha – Volcanic Drama to Freshwater Calm

Lake Bogoria to Lake Naivasha – Volcanic Drama to Freshwater Calm

Morning at Bogoria

Breakfast begins around 6:00 a.m., followed by a 2–3-hour visit to accessible sections of Lake Bogoria National Reserve. From approved tracks, you will experience the escarpment, alkaline lake and visible geothermal landscape. Flamingos may occur in varying numbers as feeding conditions shift among Rift lakes. Our guide keeps the vehicle and guests away from unsafe crust, boiling water and sensitive bird concentrations.

Naivasha Lodge Arrival

Depart between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. for the 150–180 km road journey to Lake Naivasha, normally 3–4 hours excluding lunch and delays. On reaching the freshwater-lake area during the afternoon, check into the selected premium lodge and use the remaining daylight to rest or explore property-approved grounds. You may see waterbirds or grazing wildlife, but unfenced lawns and shoreline areas still require caution. Dinner is planned around 7:30 p.m. The final morning’s boat, sanctuary walk or lodge-based alternative is reconfirmed according to weather and booking.

Day 7: Lake Naivasha to Nairobi – Freshwater Wildlife and Final Transfer

Lake Naivasha to Nairobi – Freshwater Wildlife and Final Transfer

Naivasha Activity

Enjoy breakfast around 6:30 a.m. before a confirmed 1–2.5-hour activity. A licensed boat ride can provide views of the freshwater habitat and waterbirds, while a guided sanctuary walk offers a land-based alternative where available. Life jackets, safe distance from hippos and the operator’s weather decision are compulsory. Neither close wildlife encounters nor a particular bird is guaranteed.

Nairobi Conclusion

After check-out near 10:00 a.m., our journey covers 90–110 km to Nairobi through the A104 corridor. The drive takes about 2–3 hours before traffic, lunch and a possible viewpoint stop. Lunch may be arranged in Naivasha or Nairobi according to the onward itinerary. Your guide completes drop-off at the confirmed Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, generally between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. International departures should be scheduled with a generous buffer for congestion and airline check-in, and all luggage is checked before the vehicle leaves.

RELATED FAQS ABOUT 7 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari with Premium Lodge Stays

    1. What does “premium lodge stays” mean?

It means accommodations are selected for a higher standard of comfort, service and location, but facilities differ. The final quotation must name every property, room category, meal plan and key feature. “Premium” alone does not guarantee a suite, view, air conditioning, pool or spa.

    2. Is this safari private?

The package is designed with a private vehicle and dedicated guide for the booked party, subject to the signed quotation. Lodges, park roads, picnic sites and scheduled activities may still be shared with other guests. Confirm maximum vehicle occupancy and seating before payment.

    3. Are all Big Five animals guaranteed?

No. The route visits habitats that support diverse wildlife, but sightings depend on nature, season, visibility and time. Rhino, leopard and other elusive species may not appear. Our guide searches responsibly and never disturbs animals to complete a checklist.

    4. Will we see the Great Migration?

Migration presence in the Maasai Mara varies with rainfall and regional herd movement, while dramatic river crossings are brief, unpredictable events. Two full Mara days improve the depth of the safari but cannot guarantee herds or a crossing. Book for the ecosystem, not a single scene.

    5. Are premium meals and drinks included?

The meal plan and beverage policy depend on the selected property and package quotation. Full board may exclude premium alcohol, minibar items, room service or special private dining. Dietary requirements should be submitted in writing and reconfirmed at each lodge.

    6. Can we request specific lodges?

Yes. Availability, season, budget and route efficiency determine whether a request works. A famous lodge far from the next gate can add significant driving, so compare location as well as room design. No substitution should occur without communication under the booking terms.

    7. Does every room have electricity and Wi-Fi?

No. Some remote camps use solar power, scheduled charging or central facilities, and Wi-Fi may be available only in common areas or affected by network outages. The exact arrangements will be checked for the confirmed properties. Carry an adaptor and do not depend on constant connectivity.

    8. Is the Lake Bogoria visit strenuous?

The standard visit is mainly vehicle-based with short walks on authorised areas, but heat, uneven ground and geothermal hazards require care. Tell us about mobility limitations before booking. Ranger instructions, closures and safe access take precedence over the planned viewing route.

    9. Can the Naivasha activity be changed?

Yes, before travel when an alternative is available and pricing is agreed. Boat trips depend on operator and weather approval, while walks have their own access and fitness rules. The final voucher should state the chosen activity and what happens if it cannot operate.

    10. Where exactly will Nairobi drop-off occur?

Drop-off is at the hotel, residence or airport point confirmed in the booking, provided the vehicle can legally and safely access it. Airport timing must account for Naivasha departure, road traffic and airline check-in. Multiple distant drop-offs may require additional time or cost.
