Day 1: Starting on the Journey from Umbwe Gate to Umbwe Cave Camp
Your adventure starts at 8 a.m. in Moshi. Umbwe Gate awaits, where your dedicated team of porters, guides, and chefs will join you for the six-day ascent to Uhuru Peak, Africa's rooftop. As you wait at the gate, the anticipation builds. The path to Cave Bivouac Camp is an exciting 6-hour climb, marked by steep sections and enchanting moss-covered trees in Kilimanjaro's cloud forest. Your porters and chefs will ensure a welcoming camp upon your arrival.

Day 2: Leaving Umbwe cave Camp to Barranco Camp
Today, your path follows a ridge initially, leading to Barranco Camp. Traverse open moorlands, leaving the forest behind, and arrive at Barranco, nestled in a valley surrounded by towering senecios and lobelias. This picturesque camp offers the luxury of a later sunrise. The journey covers 1,100 meters over 7 hours, and all meals are included.

Day 3: Acclimatization at Barranco

Day 4: Conquering the Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

After breakfast, you bid farewell to Barranco Camp and take on the Barranco Wall, a challenging ascent requiring some handwork. Beyond the wall, the terrain levels out as you descend into the lush embrace of Karanga River Valley. Covering 7 kilometers in 5 hours, this day includes all meals.

Day 5: Kilimanjaro Climbing from Karanga Camp Descent to Barafu Camp
Your journey continues to Barafu Camp. En route, you'll witness Kibo's glaciers and the intersection of the Mweka descent path with the Machame trail. Despite minimal vegetation in the alpine desert, the views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks from Barafu Camp are breathtaking. After an early supper, rest up for the summit climb, with an elevation gain of 400 meters in 5 hours, and all meals provided.

The final ascent to Uhuru Peak commences around midnight. Your headlamp guides the way for a challenging six-hour climb to Stella Point, followed by a steady ascent to Uhuru. Altitude adds to the difficulty. After summit photos, you descend to Mweka Camp, enjoying stunning vistas.
