On the first day of the hike, you'll begin your journey at Machame Gate, situated at an elevation of 5,380 feet. The day's destination is Machame Camp, which lies at an altitude of 9,350 feet. The total distance to be covered is approximately 11 kilometers, and it's estimated to take around 5 to 7 hours of hiking through the lush and dense rainforest. This part of the mountain is characterized by a rich variety of flora and fauna, providing a picturesque setting for the start of your adventure.

The distance covered to the summit is approximately 5 kilometers and is likely to take 7 to 8 hours. The high-altitude Arctic habitat at the summit offers breathtaking views and a sense of unparalleled achievement. Afterward, you'll begin your descent to Mweka Camp, situated at an elevation of 10,065 feet. This part of the trail covers about 12 kilometers and takes around 4 to 6 hours. From Mweka Gate, you'll continue to Mweka Village and then be transferred back to your hotel in Moshi, where you can celebrate and reflect on your incredible accomplishment.
