The ascent to Stella Point, located on the crater rim, takes about 7-8 hours, covering 5 kilometers. As the sun begins to rise, you'll witness a stunning spectacle and gather the strength to continue towards Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro at 5,895 meters above sea level. Reaching the summit is an incredible accomplishment, and you'll have time to savor the moment before descending to Mweka Campsite or High Campsite, depending on the chosen route.
