Following breakfast and a briefing from your guide, you'll embark on a 4-5 hour drive from your hotel to the village of Nale Muru, passing through villages and coffee plantations, where upon arrival, your guides and porters will prepare your equipment and complete park registration before commencing your trek through maize and potato fields, entering a pine forest inhabited by various wildlife, gradually reaching Simba Camp near the First Cave at the edge of the moorland zone with captivating views of Kenya's plains, and as you arrive, your camp and tent will already be set up by the porters who will also provide boiled drinking and washing water in readiness for dinner

Good morning! After a hearty breakfast, we will hike through the moorland terrain, passing stunning views of Kibo and the Eastern crater rim. Approaching Second Cave, we will experience the stark beauty of the high-altitude landscape, with scarce vegetation. After a short rest and lunch, we will veer off the main path and trek across the moorland, encountering towering Senecio plants and reaching second Cave. Today is your extra day on Kilimanjaro, but you won't be wasting it. You'll embark on an acclimatization hike to Mawenzi Tarn, which will set you up for success on the final summit push. You'll start your day like any other on the mountain, then set off on a short hike towards Mawenzi. Depending on your energy levels and pace, you'll spend 2-3 hours ascending before returning to camp. The roundtrip typically takes 3-5 hours. You'll spend another night at Mawenzi Tarn, giving you time to rest and recuperate before continuing your journey to the summit. Good luck and enjoy the hike!

Wake up at midnight for breakfast and prepare for your summit attempt. Depart at 1 AM to reach Gilman’s Point at sunrise. Follow switchbacks up the scree to the rim of the crater, reaching 18,640 ft/5,861 m. Reach Uhuru Peak around 9 AM, the Roof of Africa. Take photos, then begin descent to Kibo Huts for lunch, rest, packing, and return to Horombo Huts for dinner and sleep.
