Welcome to Day 1 of our thrilling Kilimanjaro expedition! Today, we'll be starting on an exciting journey from Moshi (altitude: 915 m/3,000 ft) to Umbwe Camp (altitude: 2,800 m/9,190 ft), covering a distance of 8 km over 5-7 hours. After a detailed briefing, we'll drive to the charming Umbwe Village. The real adventure begins as we step foot at Umbwe Gate, where the lush, dense forest envelops us. Be prepared for some steep sections that will challenge both our minds and bodies. However, the sights and sounds of the forest will be utterly captivating, making every step worthwhile. On Day 2, we continue our ascent from Umbwe Camp to Barranco Camp, a thrilling hike from 2,800 m/9,190 ft to 3,900 m/12,800 ft, covering 8 km in approximately 4-5 hours. As we leave Umbwe Camp, the forest begins to thin, giving way to fascinating Giant Erica and Heather vegetation. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed for awe-inspiring views of Uhuru Peak amidst the vast expanse of the mountain. Look out for the remarkable giant groundsels, a unique Kilimanjaro treasure that will make you feel like you're in a different world altogether.

Day 4 presents us with a thrilling hike from Barranco Camp (3,900 m/12,800 ft) to Karanga Camp (4,200 m/13,780 ft), spanning 7 km and taking approximately 4 hours. The highlight of today's journey is the exhilarating climb up the iconic Barranco Wall, offering breathtaking vistas of Kibo's magnificent glaciers. As we descend from the wall, we'll be greeted by the picturesque Karanga Valley campsite. Here, we'll have ample time to rest and acclimatize, ensuring we're in top shape for the remaining ascent.

Tonight, we'll rest at Barafu Camp, our base camp for the final ascent.

Today is the big day - Summit Day! We begin our ascent from Barafu Camp (4,550 m/14,930 ft) to the majestic Uhuru Peak (5,895 m/19,340 ft) and then descend to Mweka Camp (3,100 m/10,170 ft). The journey involves a challenging 7 km climb up and a 23 km descent, spanning around 8 hours to reach the summit and an additional 7-8 hours to descend. We'll start our summit push around midnight, under the starlit sky, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. The hike is demanding but incredibly rewarding as we make our way to Stella Point, a remarkable vantage point offering stunning views. From there, we continue to push ourselves to the summit of Kilimanjaro - Uhuru Peak. It's an overwhelming experience, and the sense of achievement is unmatched. The descent to Mweka Camp allows us to rest and reflect on the incredible journey we've undertaken. Mweka Camp provides us with a well-deserved place to rest and recharge for the final leg of our adventure.

Our final day on the mountain! From Mweka Camp (3,100 m/10,170 ft), we hike 15 km over 3 hours to Mweka Gate (1,980 m/6,500 ft). Here, we'll receive our summit certificates, celebrating the successful completion of our Kilimanjaro expedition. Once we bid farewell to the majestic Kilimanjaro, we'll return to Moshi (altitude: 890 m/2,920 ft), where a hot shower and well-deserved rest await us. This exhilarating adventure will leave us with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
