    Londorossi gate to Big Tree Camp

    After breakfast in Moshi, we go on a scenic drive to Londorossi Gate, where we complete the necessary paperwork before beginning our Kilimanjaro trek. The first day takes us through a picturesque rainforest, where we navigate winding trails and admire the abundant flora. After approximately 3-4 hours of hiking, we reach Big Tree Camp (2,750 m) and settle in for the night.

    Day 2: Big Tree Camp to Shira 2 Camp

    Leaving the rainforest behind, we ascend through heather and moorland vegetation. The route takes us across streams and over a plateau, offering breathtaking views of the Western Breach and its glaciers. After 7-8 hours of trekking and covering approximately 14 km, we arrive at Shira 2 Camp (3,840 m). Here, we enjoy the stunning scenery and prepare for the next day's challenges.

    Today's trek begins with a southward journey towards Lava Tower. As we ascend, the landscape transforms into a rocky desert. We reach an altitude of 4,630 m at Lava Tower, where we take in panoramic views and have lunch. Afterward, we descend to Barranco Camp (3,950 m), passing through diverse terrain. The camp offers stunning vistas of the Great Barranco Wall and the glaciers.

    Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

    This day presents a thrilling challenge as we conquer the Great Barranco Wall. After a steady climb, we are rewarded with magnificent views of Kibo and the southern glaciers. The route continues across streams, grasslands, and unique herbs. After 6 hours of trekking, we reach Karanga Camp (3,950 m), where we enjoy a well-deserved lunch. The rest of the day is spent resting and preparing for the summit push.

    Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

    As we ascend towards Barafu Camp (4,600 m), we leave behind the remaining moorland and enter a rocky landscape. The camp is situated on an exposed ridge, offering panoramic views of the surroundings. Here, we have snacks and dinner before getting some rest in preparation for the summit attempt.

    Day 6: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak, then descent to Mweka Camp

    Today is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. We begin our ascent to the summit, departing in the midnight hours. The steep climb takes us to Stella Point (5,740 m), where we witness a magnificent sunrise. From there, we continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa. After celebrating our achievement, we descend back to Barafu Camp for a hot lunch. We then continue our descent to Mweka Camp (3,080 m), passing through varied vegetation zones.

    Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, then return to Moshi

    On our final day, we descend through moorland and rainforest, following a well-developed trail. After approximately 3-4 hours of hiking, we arrive at Mweka Gate (1,980 m). Here, we celebrate our successful summit and receive certificates. Tipping and farewells take place before we meet our driver, who will transfer us back to Moshi. Upon reaching Moshi, we can enjoy a refreshing shower and a well-deserved rest at our lodge.
