    After a scenic drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate, we begin our trek through the lush rainforest. The trail can be muddy and slippery, so we recommend using trekking poles and gaiters. Our destination for the day is Mti Mkubwa Camp at an altitude of 2,750m. The trek takes approximately 4-5 hours, covering a distance of 4.8km.

    Today, we trek across the Shira Plateau, characterized by green moorland and volcanic rock formations. We were trekking on Shira Camp 1 before reaching Shira Camp 2 at an elevation of 3,840m. Along the way, we enjoy panoramic views of Kibo Peak and the Northern Ice fields. The trek covers 17km and takes around 6-8 hours.

    on this day we trekking to the steep terrain and traverse barren scree slopes passing on karanga campsite on our way to Barafu Camp at 4,640m. This challenging trek requires perseverance, but the rewarding views make it worthwhile. We rest and prepare for the upcoming summit night. The distance trek covered is 10km, and the estimated time is 6 hours.

    In the early hours of the morning, we begin our ascent towards the summit. After several hours of trekking, we reach Stella Point at 5,739m on the crater rim. From there, we trek to Uhuru Peak at 5,895m, the highest point in Africa. After celebrating our achievement, we descend to Barafu Camp for breakfast and further descent to Mweka Camp at 3,790m. The total distance covered is 13.4km, with an estimated time of 12-15 hours.

    We begin on a leisurely descent through the rainforest, reaching Mweka Gate where we complete park formalities and receive certificates. Our vehicles will be waiting to take us back to our hotel in Moshi, where we can enjoy a well-deserved shower. The distance covered is 10km, and the estimated time is 4 hours.
