After reaching the summit, you will descend to Mweka Hut campsite, stopping at Barafu for lunch and some shopping. Trekking poles and gaiters are recommended for the descent, as the terrain can be loose. Finally, you will reach Mweka Camp at 3100m/10,170ft, situated in the upper forest.
