After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel around 8:00 am and drive to the Lemosho Gate on the western side of Kilimanjaro. Once we complete the registration process, we will begin our trekk through the Lemosho glades, which are dense forests. We will steadily ascend until we reach Big Tree Camp, where we will spend the night. Expect a trekking time of about 6-8 hours

Today's trek covers a lot of ground as we traverse a plateau of grassy moorland and heather, dotted with volcanic rock formations. We will pass through Shira 1 Camp and continue towards Shira 2 Camp. Along the way, we will have opportunities to view Kibo Peak and the Northern Ice fields from the western side of the mountain. The trekking time is approximately 4-6 hours.

Our journey begins with an ascent offering panoramic views as we enter the upland desert zone and walk along the lava ridges beneath the Western Breach glaciers. We will trek to the Lava Tower, a distinct pinnacle at 4640m, where we will enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, we descend steeply to our campsite in the Great Barranco Valley. The campsite is situated at 3960m and offers views of the surrounding plains. Expect a trekking time of about 5-7 hours.

We start the day by descending into the Great Barranco, a large ravine. We then climb the Great Barranco Wall, which provides access to the southeastern slopes of Kibo. This part of the trek involves some rock climbing but is not technically difficult. After passing beneath the Heim and Kersten glaciers, we head towards the Karanga Valley. For those feeling strong, there will be an optional mid-afternoon acclimatization trek to an elevation of around 4200m before returning to camp. The trekking time is approximately 4-5 hours.

Following a good night's rest and breakfast, we embark on a challenging walk to Barafu Camp. This section of the trek takes us across desolate scree slopes with no vegetation. The steep ascent becomes more difficult due to the high altitude. Upon reaching Barafu Camp, situated at 4640m, we have an early dinner and rest in preparation for the summit climb. It is important to stay hydrated and keep warm. The trekking time is around 3 hours.

We begin our summit ascent around midnight, climbing steeply for 4-5 hours over scree slopes. The reward is reaching Stella Point (5739m) on the crater rim as the sun rises. From there, we continue for about an hour to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5895m. After enjoying the stunning views, we descend to Stella Point and then make our way down to Barafu Camp for breakfast. Following breakfast, we descend further to Mweka Camp, where we will rest and recuperate. Expect a trekking time of about 11-15 hours.

On the final day of our climb, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast before descending for about three hours to the Mweka Gate. The forest trail was muddy and slippery, but we used trekking poles and gaiters for stability. At the gate, we received our summit certificates and celebrated our achievement. After a short walk to Mweka village, our driver took us back to our hotel in Moshi. We had a hot lunch, bid farewell to Mount Kilimanjaro, and reflected on our incredible journey.
