Day 1: Trek From Rongai Gate – Rongai Caves Camp
Our journey begins with a drive from Moshi to Marangu Gate, where summit permits are secured. From there, a scenic road trip leads us to the Rongai Gate trailhead. En route, we pass lush corn and potato fields, and as we ascend gently through the forest, we may encounter diverse wildlife, including the captivating black and white colobus monkeys. It's a unique and enriching experience

Day 2: Second Caves Camp – Kikelewa Cave
The day will begin with a morning trek where we’ll steadily incline up to the Second Cave. Continuing on with the trek, we pass through the moorland toward the jagged peaks of Mawenzi leaving the main trail behind. Kikelewa Camp will be our destination for the day where we’ll be spending our night.

Day 3: Kikelewa Cave – Mawenzi Tarn Camp
Today's trek is brief yet steep, traversing a grassy slope amid the expansive wilderness. Upon exiting, you'll transition into the starkly contrasting Alpine Desert zone. Our campsite, nestled in the rugged terrain of Mawenzi, specifically at Mawenzi Tarn, provides a serene setting for unwinding and discovering the remarkable surroundings. Enjoy a leisurely day of relaxation and exploration.

Day 4: Mawenzi Tarn Camp – School Hut
The entire day is dedicated to hiking along the stunning Mawenzi Ridge, revealing captivating views of both Kibo and Mawenzi landscapes. This extra day serves the vital purpose of acclimatization. After thoroughly exploring the area, we'll make our way back to Mawenzi Tarn to set up camp and prepare for the next stage of our journey.

Day 5: School Hut – Kibo Hut
Nestled at the base of the Kibo Crater Wall, our camp, Kibo Hut, provides a resting place. Here, we unwind for the remainder of the day, gearing up mentally and physically for the impending summit day, the culmination of our remarkable journey.

Day 6: Kibo Hut – Uhuru Peak – Horombo Hut
Shortly after midnight, we embark on our challenging summit climb. The biting cold and relentless winds make this the toughest leg of the journey. We ascend steadily, taking short, necessary breaks in the darkness. As we reach Stella Point at 18,900 ft, a breathtaking sunrise over Mawenzi Peak rewards our efforts. Continuing upwards, we attain the highest point on Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak. After celebrating our achievement, we descend to Horombo Hut. In the evening, we share our final mountain dinner and rest, savoring our accomplishment.

Day 7: Horombo Hut – Marangu Gate.
On our final day, we start on a lengthy downhill trek, primarily through the lush tropical rainforest. Upon reaching the Marangu gate at the park headquarters, we receive our well-earned summit certificates. Youth Adventures' vehicle will be waiting here to transport us back to our hotel in Moshi, concluding our unforgettable journey on a triumphant note
