Festive Departure
Our representative will collect you from JKIA or your Nairobi hotel between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Travel 270–300 km to Maasai Mara through the Great Rift Valley and Narok. The journey takes 5½–6½ hours excluding meal and comfort stops. December traffic may increase around Nairobi and major towns, so departure should not be delayed.

Mara Welcome
After lunch, check-in and a short rest at your premium accommodation, depart at approximately 3:30 p.m. for an introductory game drive. Possible wildlife includes elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes and predators. Rain may affect individual tracks, but your guide will select a safe route. Return near sunset for dinner. Any Christmas decorations, welcome drinks or entertainment depend on the confirmed lodge program.

Savannah Morning
Breakfast is served at approximately 6:00 a.m. before departure between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Explore open grasslands, riverine areas and acacia habitats while searching responsibly for lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and birds. Wildlife sightings remain natural and cannot be guaranteed.

Christmas in the Mara
A picnic lunch can be served between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m., or a lodge lunch may be requested when the property location and festive program allow. Continue the afternoon drive before returning between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. Some lodges arrange a Christmas dinner, music or a small celebration, but exact inclusions must be confirmed. Religious services are not automatically part of the safari and require separate arrangements.

Seasonal Landscapes
Depart at approximately 6:30 a.m. after breakfast. Depending on December rainfall, the Mara may display green grasslands, dramatic skies and seasonal flowers. Some roads can become muddy, and the guide will adjust the route for safety while searching for wildlife across accessible habitats.

Relaxed Holiday Experience
Lunch is served at an authorized picnic site between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Guests who prefer more lodge time may request a shorter drive when park-entry arrangements permit. The afternoon offers another opportunity to photograph wildlife and enjoy uninterrupted time with family or friends. Return by approximately 5:30–6:00 p.m. for dinner and your final Christmas-season night in Maasai Mara.

Holiday Road Transfer
Following breakfast, check out at approximately 7:30 a.m. and begin the 235–280 km drive to Lake Nakuru. The journey takes 5–6½ hours depending on the Mara gate, traffic, rainfall and road conditions. Holiday traffic may extend travel time, especially near busy towns.

Nakuru Evening
Lunch is arranged during the journey or after arrival. Check into your premium accommodation during the afternoon and enjoy time to relax. If daylight and park access permit, a short introductory drive may be added. Otherwise, use the afternoon to enjoy the lodge. Christmas-period dining programs, mandatory supplements and entertainment vary between properties and will be explained before booking.

Rhino Country
After breakfast, enter Lake Nakuru National Park between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. The three- to four-hour drive explores woodland, grassland and accessible lakeshore areas. Possible sightings include rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, baboons and numerous birds. Flamingo numbers vary with lake conditions.

Lakeside Festivities
Continue 70–100 km to Lake Naivasha, taking 1½–2 hours. After lunch and check-in, relax beside the lake. An optional boat excursion may be arranged with an approved operator, subject to weather and water conditions. Life jackets are compulsory. Your lodge may provide festive afternoon activities or special dining, but these are property-specific. Follow staff guidance because hippos may enter unfenced lakeside grounds.

Southern Holiday Route
Enjoy breakfast from approximately 6:30 a.m., then depart between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. The drive to Amboseli covers 310–360 km and requires 6–7½ hours excluding lunch, comfort stops and holiday congestion. Your guide will provide realistic arrival updates throughout the journey.

Amboseli Evening
After check-in and a short rest, depart at approximately 4:00 p.m. for a game drive if sufficient daylight remains. Amboseli’s wetlands and plains may reveal elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes and birds. Kilimanjaro views depend entirely on cloud conditions. Return near sunset for dinner. Any festive cake, private dinner or room decoration must be requested and confirmed in advance.

Final Holiday Drive
Wake at approximately 5:30 a.m. for tea or coffee before an early game drive. The cooler hours provide another opportunity to observe elephants and wetland wildlife. The guide will use authorized tracks and maintain responsible viewing distances.

Completing the Celebration
Return for breakfast and check out between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. Travel 215–240 km to Nairobi via Emali, taking 4–5 hours excluding lunch and festive traffic. Drop-off is available at JKIA, Wilson Airport or a Nairobi hotel. International travellers should select a late-evening departure or add a Nairobi night because December traffic and road conditions can create delays.
