Celebrate love on a 7-day premium honeymoon safari in Kenya featuring Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli and romantic stays.
Celebrate your journey together on this 7-day premium honeymoon safari in Kenya, travelling from Nairobi to Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli. Three nights in Maasai Mara provide two complete days for unhurried game viewing, romantic sunsets and memorable wildlife encounters. Lake Nakuru introduces beautiful woodland, birdlife and opportunities to search for rhinos, while Lake Naivasha offers a peaceful freshwater retreat where an optional private boat ride can be arranged. Your honeymoon concludes in Amboseli, known for its elephants, wetlands and possible views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Our safari driver-guide will manage every transfer and game drive while allowing you enough privacy to enjoy the experience as a couple. Romantic room decoration, private dinners, celebration cakes and accommodation upgrades can be requested, subject to confirmation from the selected lodge or camp.
Journey through the Rift Valley
Our representative will collect you from JKIA or your Nairobi hotel between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. You will travel 270–300 km towards Maasai Mara, depending on the selected reserve gate and accommodation. The journey takes 5½–6½ hours excluding extended stops and passes through the Great Rift Valley and Narok. A comfort break and scenic viewpoint stop will be arranged when conditions permit.
First Mara Sunset
After lunch, check-in and time to settle into your premium room or tent, you will begin an afternoon game drive at around 3:30 p.m. The Mara’s open plains may reveal giraffes, elephants, zebras, antelopes and predators when naturally encountered. The softer evening light creates a beautiful beginning to your Kenya honeymoon safari. Return near sunset for dinner and your first romantic night in Maasai Mara. Any room decoration or private dining arrangement must be confirmed in advance.
Wildlife across the Plains
Breakfast will be served at approximately 6:00 a.m., followed by departure between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Our guide will explore grasslands, seasonal streams, acacia-dotted plains and riverine habitats according to wildlife movement and road conditions. Possible encounters include lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and numerous birds, although specific sightings cannot be guaranteed.
A Shared Mara Experience
A picnic lunch will be served at an authorized site between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. This relaxed break gives you time to enjoy the landscape together before continuing the game drive. If your accommodation is conveniently located, a lodge lunch and short rest may be arranged instead.
Evening for Two
The afternoon drive continues until approximately 5:30–6:00 p.m. Back at the camp, you can relax, enjoy dinner and reflect on the day. A private dinner or honeymoon cake may be requested, subject to availability and possible additional charges.
A Flexible Mara Morning
Your second complete day in Maasai Mara begins at around 6:30 a.m. after breakfast. Our guide may explore a different section of the reserve or return to an area where interesting wildlife activity was previously observed. Having two full days provides greater flexibility and prevents your honeymoon safari from feeling rushed.
Time together in the Wild
The drive may include open plains, marshes or river corridors, depending on your camp location and accessible roads. You may encounter elephants, antelopes, hippos, giraffes and predators during natural movement. Migration herds may enter the wider Mara ecosystem during certain months, but their location and river crossings are never guaranteed. Lunch is enjoyed at an approved picnic location between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.
Final Mara Sunset
Continue exploring during the afternoon before returning to the accommodation at around 5:30–6:00 p.m. Your final Mara evening offers time for a relaxed dinner, drinks and quiet moments together beneath the African sky.
Leaving the Mara
After breakfast, you will check out at approximately 7:30 a.m. and begin the 235–280 km journey to the Lake Nakuru area. The drive requires 5–6½ hours, depending on your departure gate, weather, road conditions and traffic. Our guide will schedule sensible comfort stops while you watch the landscape change from open savannah to highland farms and Rift Valley settlements.
A Relaxed Nakuru Arrival
Lunch will be served during the journey or after arrival, depending on the day’s progress. You will check into your premium Lake Nakuru accommodation during the afternoon and have time to rest together after the road journey. If daylight, lodge location and park access allow, a short introductory game drive may be arranged. Otherwise, you can enjoy the lodge facilities and prepare for the following morning. Dinner and overnight will be at your selected Lake Nakuru lodge or camp.
Rhinos and Lakeshore Habitats
After an early breakfast, you will enter Lake Nakuru National Park between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. The three- to four-hour game drive explores acacia woodland, grassland, rocky escarpments and accessible lakeshore areas. Our guide will search for white or black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, baboons and birds. Flamingos may be present, but their numbers change with water levels and feeding conditions.
Romance beside Lake Naivasha
After the game drive, continue 70–100 km to your Lake Naivasha accommodation. The journey takes 1½–2 hours, depending on the selected lodge. Lunch and check-in are followed by a peaceful afternoon beside the freshwater lake. An optional private boat excursion may be arranged with an approved operator, subject to weather and water conditions. Guests remaining at the lodge must follow safety instructions because hippos and other wildlife may enter unfenced areas. Dinner concludes your relaxed Naivasha stay.
A Scenic Southern Journey
Enjoy breakfast from approximately 6:30 a.m. before checking out and departing between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. The journey to the Amboseli area covers 310–360 km and takes 6–7½ hours, excluding lunch, comfort stops and heavy traffic around Nairobi. Our guide will keep you informed about the route and arrange suitable breaks during this longer transfer day.
Amboseli’s Romantic Evening
Arrival at your premium Amboseli lodge or camp is expected during the afternoon. After check-in and a short rest, you may begin a game drive at around 4:00 p.m. if daylight and park access permit. Amboseli’s wetlands and open plains support elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, antelopes and abundant birdlife. Mount Kilimanjaro may provide a spectacular background when the sky is clear, although visibility depends on the weather. Return near sunset for dinner and your final safari night together.
Elephants beneath Kilimanjaro
Wake at approximately 5:30 a.m. for tea or coffee before departing on an early game drive. The cooler hours offer a rewarding opportunity to explore Amboseli’s plains, acacia woodland and wetland edges. Our guide will search responsibly for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, predators and waterbirds. Clear conditions may reveal Mount Kilimanjaro beyond the park.
Your Honeymoon Journey Home
Return to the lodge for breakfast and check out between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. The 215–240 km journey to Nairobi takes 4–5 hours via Emali, excluding lunch and city traffic. Your guide will arrange suitable comfort stops before dropping you at JKIA, Wilson Airport or your Nairobi hotel. Couples using an international flight should reserve a late-evening departure or an additional Nairobi night to avoid a stressful connection.

The Booking Form
Celebrate love on a 7-day premium honeymoon safari in Kenya featuring Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli and romantic stays.
N.B: After you send your booking we will get back to you with in 24 hours.
1. Is this honeymoon safari completely private?
A private safari vehicle and driver-guide can be included in the final quotation, giving you greater privacy and flexibility during game drives and transfers. Accommodation dining areas and shared lodge facilities may still be used by other guests. Exclusive-use suites, private conservancy activities and private dining can be requested separately.
2. Are romantic room decorations included?
Decorations, flowers, celebration cakes, sparkling wine and honeymoon turn-down services are included only when clearly stated in your booking confirmation. Some lodges provide complimentary arrangements, while others charge an additional fee. Share your preferences early so the accommodation has enough preparation time.
3. Can we arrange a private dinner?
Yes. Many premium camps and lodges can arrange a private table, bush dinner or romantic dining setup. The arrangement depends on weather, property facilities and wildlife safety. Additional charges may apply, and outdoor dining cannot be guaranteed when conditions are unsuitable.
4. What documents prove that we are honeymooners?
Some accommodations request a marriage certificate issued within a specific period before offering complimentary honeymoon benefits. Requirements differ between properties. We will inform you if supporting documentation is necessary, but it is your responsibility to travel with the correct document.
5. Is a Maasai Mara balloon safari included?
A balloon safari is optional unless specifically included in your confirmed package. It normally begins before sunrise and replaces part of the scheduled morning game drive. Advance reservation is recommended because spaces are limited, especially during popular migration and holiday months.
6. Which accommodation style is best for honeymooners?
Smaller tented camps often provide an intimate atmosphere and personalized service, while larger premium lodges may offer swimming pools, spas and broader dining choices. We recommend accommodation according to your preferred level of privacy, comfort, budget and travel month.
7. Can we take a boat ride at Lake Naivasha?
Yes. A private or shared boat excursion can be arranged with an approved operator. It is optional unless included in your quotation and depends on weather, lake conditions and safety assessments. Life jackets must be worn, and the boat guide’s instructions must be followed around hippos and other wildlife.
8. Can the itinerary include more relaxation?
Yes. You may replace selected game drives with quiet lodge time or add an extra night in Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha or Amboseli. Changes affecting accommodation, park fees, meals or transfers should be requested before the final quotation is approved.
9. What should we pack for the honeymoon safari?
Bring light neutral clothing, a warm fleece for early drives, comfortable closed shoes, sun protection, insect repellent and one relaxed outfit for lodge dinners. Formal clothing is unnecessary. Pack essential medication and avoid excessive luggage because safari vehicles have limited storage space.
10. What happens if our flight arrives late in Nairobi?
We recommend spending the first night in Nairobi if your international flight arrives after the planned morning departure. Travelling to Maasai Mara late in the day is impractical and would remove the first afternoon game drive. Airport transfers and Nairobi accommodation can be added to your package.
