Across the Escarpment
Our guide collects you from a Nairobi hotel or an agreed city address at about 6:30 a.m. After a trip briefing, you will drive 225–275 km to the Maasai Mara, with the distance determined by your lodge and entry gate. The journey normally takes five to six hours excluding stops and follows the escarpment toward Narok. A comfort break and viewpoint stop may be made where parking and weather are suitable, followed by lunch en route or at camp.

First Tracks in the Mara
After check-in and a short rest, you will begin an afternoon game drive at around 3:30 p.m. for roughly two to three hours. Our safari driver searches the open plains and drainage lines for elephants, giraffes, antelopes and predators while maintaining respectful viewing distances. You return to your Mara accommodation before dark for dinner and an overnight stay.

Predator Country
Breakfast is served from about 6:00 a.m., and the game drive begins near 6:30 a.m. when temperatures are cooler and animal activity can be higher. You will explore the sector accessible from your lodge, stopping only where reserve rules allow. Lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes and plains game inhabit this ecosystem, although no species is promised. Our guide interprets tracks, behaviour and the relationship between grazers, predators and the Mara’s grasslands.

Rivers and Wide Horizons
A picnic lunch is taken at a designated site around 12:30 p.m., or you may return to the lodge if its location makes that practical. The afternoon continues through riverine woodland and open savannah for a total game-viewing period of about seven to nine hours, including breaks. Migration movements are seasonal and river crossings are never scheduled events. You return at approximately 5:30 p.m. for time to refresh before dinner.

A Different Direction
Following breakfast at about 6:15 a.m., our journey enters a different Mara zone whenever road and wildlife conditions permit. The aim is not to repeat yesterday’s route but to compare short-grass plains, acacia edges, marshes or river corridors. Your guide selects the track network using recent ranger information and visible signs, never crowding animals or leaving authorised roads. The unhurried pace leaves time to observe social behaviour and smaller species as well as headline wildlife.

The Landscape Tells the Story
Lunch is planned for around 12:30 p.m. at a legal picnic area. During the afternoon, you may watch herbivores spread across the plains, scan trees for raptors or pause beside a safe viewpoint as light softens. The day provides another seven to nine hours in the reserve, but actual movement depends on rainfall and track conditions. Our safari vehicle returns to camp by about 5:30 p.m., giving you a relaxed final Mara evening and dinner.

Farewell Drive
You will have breakfast at approximately 6:30 a.m., check out and depart the Mara around 7:30 a.m. A short wildlife-viewing transfer may be possible on the way to the gate, subject to its position and permit timing. The drive to the Lake Nakuru area covers about 220–250 km depending on the departure gate, lodge and selected road, and normally requires five to six hours excluding meal and comfort stops.

From Grassland to Lakeshore
Our road crosses highland farming areas and sections of the Great Rift Valley before reaching Nakuru. Lunch is served en route or after arrival at roughly 1:30–2:30 p.m. If daylight, entry conditions and lodge location allow, you may take a short late-afternoon drive inside Lake Nakuru National Park; otherwise, the activity moves to the following morning. Check-in is followed by rest, dinner and an overnight stay near or inside the park.

Forest, Lake and Escarpment
After an early breakfast at about 6:15 a.m., you enter or continue through Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive of roughly three to four hours. The park’s lake, bushy grassland, woodland and ridges support rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes and varied birdlife, but sightings and flamingo concentrations depend on natural conditions. Your guide may include an accessible lookout if the road is open and the group’s pace permits.

North to Bogoria
You leave the Nakuru area after the game drive and lunch, usually between noon and 1:30 p.m. The trip to Lake Bogoria can range from about 100 km to 150 km and take two and a half to four hours because the practical distance changes with the reserve entrance, accommodation and road condition. You arrive in the Bogoria area during the afternoon, check in and rest. Dinner is served at the lodge, with a briefing about heat and geothermal safety for tomorrow.

A Living Rift Landscape
Breakfast is planned for approximately 6:30 a.m., followed by a two- to three-hour visit to Lake Bogoria National Reserve. You will explore only open, authorised sections with our guide, observing the alkaline shoreline, faulted escarpment and geothermal features from safe ground. Flamingo presence changes with water chemistry and regional feeding conditions, so flock size is never guaranteed. Guests must remain behind safety guidance because springs and surrounding soil can be dangerously hot.

South to Fresh Water
After leaving Bogoria, you will travel about 150–180 km to Lake Naivasha via the Nakuru corridor, normally taking three to four hours excluding lunch and stops. The scenery gradually shifts from semi-arid ground to cooler highland farms and a freshwater lake environment. Lunch is served en route, with arrival near Naivasha at approximately 3:30–5:00 p.m. You check in at your lakeside or nearby lodge, relax and enjoy dinner as the road journey settles into a quieter evening.

Freshwater Morning
After breakfast around 7:00 a.m., you may join a pre-booked boat excursion of about one hour, operated by a licensed local provider and subject to weather, water conditions and life-jacket requirements. From the boat, you may observe hippos from a safe distance and look for fish eagles, cormorants and other waterbirds. A Crescent Island walk can replace or extend this experience only when reserved in advance and appropriate for the group.

Back to the Capital
You return to the lodge, check out and begin the 90–100 km journey to Nairobi at approximately 10:30 a.m. Driving usually takes one and a half to two and a half hours, though traffic on the escarpment and within Nairobi can add time. Lunch is arranged en route or in the city according to your onward plan. Our guide drops you at an agreed Nairobi hotel or address; airport drop-off is scheduled separately around the confirmed flight time.
