Journey into the Rift Valley
Pickup from JKIA or your Nairobi hotel takes place between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Travel 270–300 km to Maasai Mara through the Great Rift Valley and Narok. The journey normally takes 5½–6½ hours excluding lunch and comfort stops, although festive traffic may extend the schedule.

First Celebration on Safari
After lunch, check-in and a short rest, depart at approximately 3:30 p.m. for an introductory game drive. Elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, predators and birds may be encountered naturally. Return near sunset for dinner and a briefing. If this date falls on New Year’s Eve, the lodge’s confirmed gala or countdown program will follow, subject to property arrangements and guest preference.

First Safari Sunrise
Breakfast is served at approximately 6:00 a.m. before departure between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Beginning the year in Maasai Mara offers a peaceful morning among open grasslands, river corridors and acacia habitats. Our guide will search responsibly for wildlife without promising particular species.

New Year on the Plains
A picnic lunch is served at an authorized site between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. You may encounter elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hyenas and many birds depending on natural movement. Continue during the afternoon and return between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. for dinner. Guests who celebrated late the previous evening may request a later or shorter drive when park arrangements permit.

Flexible Wildlife Route
After breakfast, depart at approximately 6:30 a.m. for another full day inside Maasai Mara. Your guide may select a different reserve sector or revisit a productive habitat. Rainfall can influence animal movement and track conditions, so daily routing remains flexible.

A Meaningful Holiday
Lunch is served between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. at an authorized picnic site. The second complete Mara day gives couples, families and friends time to enjoy wildlife without immediately changing accommodation. Continue exploring until approximately 5:30–6:00 p.m. before returning for dinner. Optional private meals, celebration cakes or photography arrangements must be requested and confirmed in advance.

Scenic Transfer
After breakfast, check out at approximately 7:30 a.m. and begin the 235–280 km transfer to Lake Nakuru. Driving takes 5–6½ hours depending on the Mara gate, road conditions, weather and holiday traffic. Comfort stops will be made at suitable locations.

Premium Nakuru Evening
Lunch is served during the journey or after arrival. Check into your premium accommodation during the afternoon and enjoy time to rest. A short game drive may be arranged if sufficient daylight remains and park access is practical. Otherwise, enjoy the lodge facilities and review your photographs from Maasai Mara. New Year-period supplements, entertainment and minimum-night rules vary between properties and will be confirmed before booking.

Rift Valley Wildlife
Enter Lake Nakuru National Park between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. after breakfast. The three- to four-hour drive explores grassland, acacia woodland and accessible lakeshore habitats. Possible wildlife includes rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, baboons and birds. Flamingo concentrations vary with lake conditions.

Relaxation beside Naivasha
Travel 70–100 km to Lake Naivasha, taking 1½–2 hours. After lunch and check-in, enjoy a restful afternoon beside the lake. An optional approved boat excursion may be arranged, subject to weather and water conditions. Life jackets are compulsory. If New Year’s Eve falls on this day, the lodge’s confirmed dinner or countdown program will take place later. Guests must follow safety rules around unfenced lakeside grounds.

Long Southern Journey

Breakfast begins at approximately 6:30 a.m., followed by departure between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. The journey to Amboseli covers 310–360 km and requires 6–7½ hours excluding lunch, comfort stops and Nairobi-area congestion. Holiday traffic can influence the final arrival time.

Evening Elephant Safari
After arriving at your premium lodge or camp, check in and rest. If daylight and park access allow, depart at approximately 4:00 p.m. for a game drive across plains, wetlands and acacia habitats. Elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and birds may be encountered. Kilimanjaro appears only when clouds clear. Return near sunset for dinner and a relaxed final evening.

Final New Year Memories
Wake at approximately 5:30 a.m. for tea or coffee before departing on an early game drive. Amboseli’s cooler morning conditions provide another opportunity to observe elephants and wetland wildlife. Your guide will maintain responsible distances and follow authorized tracks.

Return to Nairobi
Return for breakfast and check out between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. Travel 215–240 km to Nairobi via Emali, taking 4–5 hours excluding lunch and city traffic. Drop-off is available at JKIA, Wilson Airport or your Nairobi hotel. A late-evening international flight or additional Nairobi night is recommended because festive traffic, weather and road delays can affect arrival time.
