7 Days Romantic Honeymoon Safari from Nairobi to Maasai Mara and Amboseli

Our guide will collect you from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your Nairobi hotel or residence between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Your private honeymoon safari from Nairobi will cover approximately 270 kilometres to Maasai Mara over five to six hours. Our journey will include an optional stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for couple photographs before continuing through Narok town. After arriving at your midrange lodge or tented camp, you will have lunch, check in and relax together. At approximately 3:30 p.m., you will begin a private afternoon game drive and may see elephants, giraffes, zebras and predators. A decorated room, honeymoon cake or private dinner can be requested in advance.

You will wake up around 5:45 a.m. and have breakfast before leaving at approximately 6:30 a.m. Your private honeymoon safari may cover between 70 and 120 kilometres during eight to ten hours of wildlife viewing. Our guide will explore open plains, acacia woodland and river areas while searching for lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and buffaloes. Since your vehicle is private, you may spend additional time at sightings you find special or stop for photographs together at safe viewpoints. A packed lunch will be enjoyed at a designated picnic site before your afternoon safari continues.

After breakfast, you will leave the lodge at approximately 6:30 a.m. for another full day in Maasai Mara. This additional honeymoon safari day allows you to explore quieter areas, revisit rewarding wildlife locations and search for animals not seen previously. You may travel between 60 and 110 kilometres while our guide follows recent sightings and wildlife tracks. A balloon safari can be added before breakfast at an extra cost when booked in advance. You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the reserve before continuing with a relaxed afternoon game drive and returning for dinner.

Our guide will include comfort, refreshment and photography stops along the Rift Valley route. After arriving at your selected midrange lodge, you will enjoy a late lunch and spend the afternoon resting together. Depending on your accommodation and arrival time, a sunset viewpoint visit or romantic dinner arrangement may be requested.

Your day will begin at around 5:45 a.m. with tea, coffee or a light breakfast before entering Lake Nakuru National Park at approximately 6:30 a.m. You will cover around 30 to 50 kilometres during a three-to-four-hour private game drive in search of rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, baboons and birds. After returning for breakfast or an early lunch, you will check out and travel approximately 75 to 90 kilometres to Lake Naivasha over one-and-a-half to two hours. After checking in and relaxing, you may enjoy an optional private boat ride or spend the afternoon together at your lakeside lodge.

After breakfast at approximately 6:30 a.m., you will check out between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Your honeymoon safari will continue approximately 330 to 350 kilometres to Amboseli over six to seven hours. Our journey will pass through the Nairobi bypass region, Emali and the open plains leading toward Amboseli, with comfortable stops included. You will arrive at your midrange lodge for a late lunch or afternoon meal. Depending on arrival time, you may enjoy a short sunset game drive or relax together with views of the surrounding wilderness. A private dinner may be arranged for your final safari evening.

You will wake up at approximately 5:45 a.m. and enjoy tea or coffee before beginning an early-morning game drive at around 6:15 a.m. Your romantic Amboseli safari may include elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and views of Mount Kilimanjaro when the sky is clear. After approximately three hours, you will return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Your final journey will cover approximately 215 to 230 kilometres to Nairobi over four to five hours.
