7 Days Romantic Honeymoon Safari from Nairobi with Midrange Lodges

Our guide will collect you from your Nairobi hotel, residence or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Your romantic honeymoon safari from Nairobi will cover approximately 270 kilometres to Maasai Mara, with a driving time of about five to six hours. Our journey will include an optional stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can take couple photographs before continuing through Narok town. After arriving at your midrange lodge or tented camp, you will enjoy lunch, check in and relax together. At around 3:30 p.m., you will begin a private afternoon game drive and return at sunset for dinner. A decorated room, honeymoon cake or private dining arrangement may be prepared when requested in advance.

You will wake up at approximately 5:45 a.m. and enjoy an early breakfast before leaving at 6:30 a.m. Your private honeymoon safari may cover between 70 and 120 kilometres during eight to ten hours of game viewing across Maasai Mara. Our guide will search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and buffaloes while allowing you to enjoy quiet moments and take romantic safari photographs together. You will visit open plains, acacia woodland, seasonal streams and river areas before enjoying a packed lunch at a designated picnic site. Your afternoon wildlife experience will continue until around 5:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m., followed by relaxation and dinner at your midrange accommodation.

After breakfast, you will leave at approximately 6:30 a.m. for another full-day honeymoon safari in Maasai Mara. Your guide may cover between 60 and 110 kilometres while exploring areas that were not visited on the previous day. You will have more time to search for elusive animals, observe wildlife behaviour and stop at safe scenic locations for couple photographs. A hot-air balloon safari can be arranged before breakfast at an additional cost, after which you will reconnect with your guide. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve and continue your private wildlife journey before returning to the lodge for a relaxed evening and romantic dinner.

You will have breakfast around 6:30 a.m. and check out between 7:15 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. Your honeymoon safari will continue approximately 240 to 260 kilometres from Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru, taking about five to six hours. Our guide will include comfortable stops for refreshments, washrooms and photographs along the route. After arriving at your selected midrange lodge, you will have a late lunch and spend the afternoon resting together. Depending on the lodge location and arrival time, a short sunset walk or viewpoint visit may be arranged before dinner.

Your morning honeymoon safari will begin around 6:30 a.m. after tea, coffee or a light breakfast. You will cover approximately 30 to 50 kilometres during a three-to-four-hour game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park. Our guide will help you search for rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, baboons and birds. After returning for breakfast or an early lunch, you will check out and drive approximately 120 kilometres to Lake Bogoria, taking around three hours. After arriving at your accommodation, you will relax before an optional late-afternoon visit to the lakeshore, hot springs and escarpment scenery.

You will wake at approximately 5:45 a.m. for a two-to-three-hour exploration around Lake Bogoria, covering about 10 to 30 kilometres depending on accessible areas. Your honeymoon safari experience may include seasonal flamingos, waterbirds, geothermal features and beautiful morning scenery. You will return for breakfast, check out and travel approximately 150 to 170 kilometres to Lake Naivasha, with an estimated driving time of three to four hours. After lunch and relaxation, you may enjoy a private boat ride, observe hippos and birds or spend a quiet afternoon at your midrange lodge. A special private dinner can be requested for your final safari evening.
