7 Days Safari from Dar Es Salaam to Southern Tanzania Parks

Your safari begins with pickup in Dar es Salaam at approximately 6:00 AM from your hotel, residence or another agreed location. Leave the city and travel toward Nyerere, making suitable stops during the journey. Arrive during the early afternoon, enjoy lunch and start your first game drive at approximately 3:00 PM. Explore until around 6:00 PM, watching for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos and other wildlife before continuing to your midrange accommodation.

After breakfast, depart at approximately 7:00 AM for a full day in Nyerere. Travel through different habitats while your guide searches for wildlife and explains the ecology of the park. Stop for a picnic lunch around 12:30 PM, then continue the safari during the afternoon. Return to your lodge at approximately 5:30 PM.

Begin the morning around 6:30 to 7:00 AM and explore different areas from those visited previously. Spend the day watching wildlife at an unhurried pace, with enough time for photographs and longer observations. Lunch will be taken in the park, followed by another afternoon session before returning to the lodge.

After breakfast at approximately 7:00 AM, leave Nyerere and travel toward Mikumi National Park. On arrival, enjoy lunch and begin an afternoon game drive at around 3:00 PM. Search the open plains for giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, elephants, buffaloes and other wildlife until approximately 6:00 PM. Continue to your midrange accommodation for dinner and overnight

Start after breakfast at approximately 7:00 AM and spend the full day in Mikumi. Explore the Mkata plains, woodland and water areas while watching for mammals and birds. Around midday, stop for lunch before continuing through the afternoon. Finish at around 5:30 PM and return to the lodge.

Depart Mikumi at around 7:00 AM and travel to Udzungwa. Meet a local guide and begin a walking experience through tropical forest, enjoying opportunities to see monkeys, birds, butterflies, unusual plants and mountain scenery. Depending on your chosen trail, the activity can include scenic waterfall areas and viewpoints. Finish during the afternoon and transfer to your midrange accommodation.
