The study tour begins with a 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. You will cover 120 kilometers and learn about the unique baobab tree ecology. Tarangire is a perfect classroom for studying elephant social structures. You will spend the afternoon observing how different species interact at the Tarangire River. A positive moment is seeing a family of elephants teaching a calf how to use its trunk to drink. You will stay overnight in Manyara or Karatu.
