Your journey begins with a pickup at the Namanga border or Arusha after your travel from Kenya. You will drive to Tarangire National Park, a journey of about 2.5 hours from Arusha. Tarangire is famous for its elephants and baobab trees. You will spend the afternoon on a game drive looking for predators. A positive moment is seeing the different landscape as you enter Tanzania. You will overnight in Manyara or Karatu.

Day 2: Manyara/Karatu to Serengeti (Half-Day Game Drive)
After breakfast, you drive toward the Serengeti National Park. The journey takes 6 hours and covers 200 kilometers. You will pass through the Ngorongoro Highlands, stopping for photos. Upon entering the Serengeti, you begin a half-day game drive in the central plains. An unexpected highlight is seeing a lion pride resting on a kopje during the golden hour. You will spend the night at a camp or lodge in the central Serengeti.

Day 3: Central to Northern Serengeti (Full Day Tour)
Today you travel north to catch the Great Migration. The 5-hour drive follows the movement of thousands of wildebeest. This part of the 7-day safari from Kenya focuses on the transition to the northern hills. You will witness the massive scale of the herds moving together. A surprising moment is seeing a cheetah mother playing with her cubs in the grass. You will spend the night in the northern Serengeti.

The return trip allows for a relaxed pace and deeper appreciation of the landscape. An unexpected highlight is often spotting a rare serval cat in the tall grass. You will spend the night back in the central Serengeti area.

Day 6: Serengeti (Morning Game Drive) to Ngorongoro

You will stay at a lodge on the rim or in Karatu.
