The trip begins with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. The journey covers 120 kilometers and takes 2.5 hours. Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds and baobab trees. In July, the park is dry and animals gather around the Tarangire River. A positive and unexpected moment is seeing a leopard resting in a baobab tree during your afternoon game drive. You will stay overnight in Manyara or Karatu.

An unexpected highlight is seeing a pride of lions lounging on a rocky kopje in the golden grass. You will spend the night at a camp or lodge in the central Serengeti.

Day 6: Serengeti Morning Game Drive to Ngorongoro
