Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park Manyara/Karatu
The student journey starts with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. The 2.5-hour trip covers 120 kilometers and includes an introduction to the local culture. Tarangire is famous for its elephants and baobab trees. Students will spend the afternoon learning about animal tracks and signs near the river. A positive moment is seeing a group of elephants using mud to protect their skin from the sun. You will stay overnight in Manyara or Karatu.

Day 2: Manyara/Karatu to Serengeti (Half-Day Game Drive)
After breakfast, students head toward the Serengeti National Park. The 6-hour drive is an adventure through the highlands and the Rift Valley. As you enter the Serengeti, the group will start a game drive in the central plains. An unexpected highlight is seeing a pride of lions and learning about their social hierarchy and pride dynamics. You will spend the night at a camp in the central Serengeti.

Day 3: Central to Northern Serengeti (Full Day Tour)
Today the students travel north to follow the Great Migration. The 5-hour drive provides time to discuss environmental issues and wildlife protection. This part of the 7-day Students safari focuses on the massive herds and their role in the ecosystem. Students will see how thousands of animals interact while moving. A surprising moment is finding a cheetah and discussing its survival challenges in the wild. You will stay overnight in the northern Serengeti.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti (Full Day Migration Experience)
You will spend the day near the Mara River to observe the dramatic river crossings. This is the heart of the 7-day Students safari in Serengeti Migration. Students will see the determination of the wildebeest and the power of the Nile crocodiles. Between crossings, the guide will lead discussions on the water cycle and river ecology. A positive moment is seeing a young wildebeest reach the far bank safely. You return to your camp for a briefing.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti
After a final morning game drive in the north, the group begins the return journey to the central Serengeti. The 4-hour drive covers 150 kilometers and offers chances to see different bird species. This transition allows students to learn about resident versus migratory wildlife. An unexpected highlight is often spotting a rare serval cat and learning about its specialized ears for hunting. You will spend the night back in the central Serengeti area.

Day 6: Serengeti (Morning Game Drive) to Ngorongoro
The morning starts with a game drive to capture the early hunters in action. After breakfast, students drive for 3 hours toward the Ngorongoro Crater rim. As you reach the rim, the forest becomes lush and students can learn about the different vegetation layers. A positive and unexpected moment is the first view of the crater floor from the lookout point. You will stay at a lodge on the rim or in Karatu.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater (Full Day Tour) to Arusha

After a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, the group drives 4 hours back to Arusha. Your 7-day Serengeti Migration Students safari ends with a transfer to your hotel or the airport.
