Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your safari adventure begins with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. In April, this park is a stunning emerald paradise with lush green grass and tall, leafy Baobab trees. You will spend the afternoon exploring the park, which is famous for its massive families of elephants that love the fresh water of the Tarangire River. Because of the rain, the air is very clear, making it a perfect time to see colorful birds and giraffes grazing on the new green shoots. After a beautiful day in the wild, you will head to a comfortable midrange lodge for dinner and a peaceful night.

Day 2: Manyara/Karatu to Serengeti (Half-Day Game Drive)
Today, we travel through the high, green hills of Karatu, passing local farms that are vibrant and full of life in April. You will enjoy great views of the Great Rift Valley before entering the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The transition from the forest to the wide-open plains is breathtaking. As we enter the park, we start a half-day game drive to see large groups of zebras and wildebeests enjoying the fresh grass. You will reach your central Serengeti lodge in time to see the dramatic clouds of the rainy season and enjoy a warm dinner.

Day 3: Serengeti (Full-Day Game Drive)
This is a full day dedicated to exploring the heart of the Serengeti during its most beautiful season. April offers dramatic skies and deep green landscapes, which are perfect for taking world-class photos of the animals. You will spend the day tracking the "Big Five" across the plains, which are full of energy and new life. We will carry a packed picnic lunch to eat under a shaded tree in the middle of the park, allowing you to stay out longer and watch the lions and cheetahs in their natural home. In the evening, you return to your lodge to relax and share stories of the day.

Day 4: Central Serengeti (Full Day Tour)
The focus of today is the Central Serengeti, specifically the Seronera River area, where animal activity is very high. This region is famous for big cats like lions and leopards that love to rest on the big rocks known as "Kopjes." Your guide will use their expert eyes to find cheetahs hunting in the green grass and leopards hiding in the acacia trees. The bright green background makes every photo look amazing. After a long day of seeing predators in action, you will return to your midrange lodge to enjoy the facilities and a good meal.

Day 5: Central Serengeti (Full Day Tour)
On your third day in the Serengeti, we venture into the quiet and hidden parts of the central plains. This allows you to experience the park away from other vehicles. You can visit the hippo pools to see hundreds of hippos playing in the water or look for smaller, rare animals like the serval cat. April’s greenery provides a beautiful home for many migratory birds, making this a great day for birdwatching too. This peaceful day gives you a deep connection to the African wilderness before we leave the open plains.

Day 6: Serengeti Central (Morning Game Drive) to Ngorongoro
We start with an early morning game drive to catch the lions and hyenas while the air is still cool and fresh. After a final look at the majestic Serengeti, we begin our journey toward the Ngorongoro highlands. The drive takes you up into the cool, misty mountains where the trees are thick and green. We will stop at several viewpoints to see the clouds resting inside the huge volcanic crater. You will spend the night at a midrange lodge on the crater rim, where you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere and the unique view of the forest.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater (Full Day Tour) Back to Arusha
The final day of your safari is a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, which is a natural sanctuary that stays green and beautiful all through April. You will spend the entire day on the crater floor, which is the best place to find the rare Black Rhino and huge elephants. The lake is often full of pink flamingos, and you will see many lions and buffaloes in a very small area. After a lakeside picnic lunch, we climb back out of the crater and drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your beautiful 7-day April safari.
