A 7-day ascent via Kilimanjaro's Eastern route offers a distinct journey. With a shorter forest zone, Mawenzi Tarn acclimatization, and descent via Marangu, it's a unique adventure to Uhuru Peak were you guide and group ogf team will escort you up sumit day.
In the morning, the journey begins with a drive around Kilimanjaro to the Eastern side, reaching Nale Moru gate (Rongai gate) for registration pass. The hike leads through picturesque farmland, pine plantations, and into the captivating afromontane forest.

Today you cross the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo in the alpine desert zone. The camp is situated at 4700 meters. In the afternoon it is time to prepare mind set for the night ascent and then an early dinner and to bed for a few hours.

Early in the morning start hike up to summit,we required to arrive in time for a dawn on the roof of Africa You ascend Kibo volcano via Gilman's point (5685m) which takes around 6 to 7 hours. It is then a further 11/2 to 2 hours to the summit and then descent to Kibo for refreshment and refuels and then continues down to Horombo camp.
