Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Your Mount Kilimanjaro guide will meet you to provide a briefing and check your trekking equipment.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp
Begin your trek from Mti Mkubwa through the undisturbed rainforest. The trail winds through lush vegetation, tall grasses, heather, and volcanic rock. As you ascend, you'll cross streams and reach the Shira Ridge, offering panoramic views of Kibo. Descend to Shira 1 Camp

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp to Moir Hut
Explore the vast Shira Plateau, walking through moorland meadows towards Shira 2 Camp. Take a detour to Moir Hut, located at the base of Lent Hills. This is an excellent opportunity for acclimatization, with various walks available in the area.

Day 4: Moir Hut to Lava Tower and Barranco Camp
Climb up a ridge and head southeast towards the impressive Lava Tower, a volcanic rock formation. Descend through the Senecio Forest to Barranco Camp, nestled at the bottom of the Great Barranco Valley. Although you start and end the day at the same elevation, the time spent at higher altitude aids acclimatization

Day 5: : Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Descend into a ravine and then ascend the non-technical, steep Barranco Wall. Traverse hills and valleys before descending sharply into Karanga Valley. Climb one more steep section to reach Karanga Camp, a shorter day designed for acclimatization.

Day 6: : Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Continue your ascent and reach the rocky section leading to Barafu Hut. At this point, you have completed the Southern Circuit, offering incredible views of the summit. Rest and enjoy an early dinner in preparation for summit day.

Day 7: : Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and Mweka Hut
Begin the challenging summit push in the early morning hours. Ascend through the darkness, taking short breaks along the way. Reach Stella Point for a breathtaking sunrise over Mawenzi Peak. Continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descend to Mweka Hut via Barafu for lunch, navigating the rocky trail with the assistance of trekking poles.

Day 8: Mweka Hut to Mweka Gate
Continue your descent from Mweka Hut to Mweka Gate, where you will collect your summit certificates. The lower elevations may be wet and muddy. After reaching the gate, continue for an hour to Mweka Village, where a vehicle will transport you back to your hotel in Moshi.
