This day provides an opportunity to adjust to the altitude. We embark on a steep ridge climb, passing the Barranco Wall and exploring the Karanga Valley. After lunch, we return to the campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

We start our summit push in the early morning, hiking in darkness towards Uhuru Peak, the highest point of Kilimanjaro. After reaching the summit, we descend to Mweka Camp via Barafu Camp. The total distance is 4.5 km uphill and 10.7 km downhill. The climb to the summit takes 7-8 hours, while the descent to Mweka Camp lasts 6-8 hours.

After breakfast, we descend to Mweka Park Gate to receive our summit certificates. The 8.5 km climb takes 4-6 hours through the Rain Forest habitat. From the gate, we return to the hotel in Moshi for a well-deserved hot shower and rest.
