8 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari with Midrange Accommodations: Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli

Your Kenya wildlife safari with midrange accommodations begins with pickup from Nairobi. You will travel approximately 280 to 300 kilometres to Masai Mara in 5½ to 6½ hours, passing through the Great Rift Valley and Narok. After lunch and check-in, you will enjoy an afternoon drive lasting 2½ to 3 hours, searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and predators.

After breakfast, you will explore Masai Mara for 8 to 10 hours, covering between 80 and 150 kilometres. Your Kenya wildlife safari continues with a second full-day drive, allowing you to explore alternative game-viewing areas. You may travel approximately 70 to 140 kilometres during 8 to 10 hours. During migration periods, wildebeests and zebras may be present, although specific river crossings cannot be promised.

After breakfast, you will travel approximately 260 kilometres to Lake Nakuru in 5 to 6½ hours. After arrival, lunch and check-in at your midrange accommodation, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive of around 3 hours. Possible sightings include rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, baboons and numerous birds.

You will begin with a morning Lake Nakuru drive lasting 2½ to 3 hours, followed by an 80-kilometre transfer to Lake Naivasha in 1½ to 2 hours. After lunch and check-in, you may join an optional boat ride to observe hippos, fish eagles and waterbirds or take a Crescent Island nature walk.

After breakfast, your safari will continue approximately 320 kilometres to Amboseli in 6 to 7 hours. Lunch will be served en route or at the lodge. If arrival time allows, you will enjoy a short afternoon game drive of approximately 2 hours, searching for elephants, giraffes and zebras.

Following breakfast, you will spend 7 to 9 hours exploring Amboseli and cover between 60 and 120 kilometres. Our guide will visit marshes, plains, woodland and seasonal lake areas while searching for elephants, lions, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and birds. Mount Kilimanjaro may be visible during clear morning weather.

Following breakfast, you will spend 7 to 9 hours exploring Amboseli and cover between 60 and 120 kilometres. Our guide will visit marshes, plains, woodland and seasonal lake areas while searching for elephants, lions, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and birds. Mount Kilimanjaro may be visible during clear morning weather.
