After a hearty breakfast, we drive to Londorossi Gate for registration before beginning our hike. The trail takes us through the lush rainforest, and after approximately 3-4 hours, we arrive at Mti Mkubwa Camp, nestled at an elevation of 9,498 ft.

We begin the day by heading east towards Kibo, reaching the highest point of the day at Lava Tower (14,600 ft). After a well-deserved lunch break, we continue our descent towards Barranco Valley Camp (12,960 ft). This 6–7-hour trek covers a distance of 12 km and offers remarkable views of the semi-desert environment.

On this shorter day, we continue our ascent towards Barafu Hut. The trail gradually gains altitude, and after approximately 3 hours of hiking over 6 km, we arrive at Barafu Hut, our last camp before the final summit push. Situated at an elevation of 15,091 ft, it offers a chance to rest and prepare for the challenging day ahead.

Today is the most demanding and rewarding day of the trek. We begin the final ascent around midnight, climbing steadily for 5-6 hours to reach Stella Point (18,871 ft) just in time for sunrise. From there, it's an hour's climb along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (19,341 ft), the highest point in Africa. After celebrating our achievement, we descend to Barafu Camp and continue further down to Mweka Camp (10,170 ft) for a well-deserved rest.

Following a restful night at Mweka Camp, we begin our descent through the enchanting rainforest.
