Day 1: : Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa

Begin your journey from Londorossi Gate, completing entry formalities before driving to the Lemosho trailhead. The hike takes you through undisturbed rainforest to Mti Mkubwa, or "The Big Tree Camp," where you'll camp for the night.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp

Continue your ascent, leaving the rainforest behind and entering a savannah landscape. Trek through tall grasses, heather, and volcanic rock to reach Shira 1 Camp. Enjoy breathtaking views of Kibo along the way.

Destination: Big Tree (Mti Mkubwa) Camp To Shira 1 Camp

Day 3: : Shira 1 Camp to Moir Hut

Explore the vast Shira Plateau, walking across moorland meadows towards Shira 2 Camp. From there, head towards Moir Hut, located on the base of Lent Hills. Take advantage of acclimatization walks in this unique area.

Day 4: Moir Hut to Lava Tower, then to Barranco Camp

Embark on a challenging day, climbing up to the impressive Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Camp. Despite starting and ending at the same altitude, this day is crucial for acclimatization and offers stunning views of the Barranco Wall.

Destination: Moir Hut Camp To Buffalo Camp

Day 5: : Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Begin the day with a descent into a ravine, followed by a steep climb up the Great Barranco Wall. Traverse hills and valleys until reaching Karanga Valley, where Karanga Camp awaits. This day allows for further acclimatization.

Day 6: : Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Continue hiking, reaching the rocky section leading to Barafu Hut. This marks the completion of the Southern Circuit and provides panoramic views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Rest and enjoy an early dinner to prepare for the summit.

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak, then to Mweka Camp

Embark on an early morning summit push, braving challenging conditions. Reach the majestic Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and in Africa. Descend to Mweka Camp, passing through diverse terrains and ecosystems.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Complete your descent to Mweka Gate, where you'll collect your summit certificates. Enjoy the final leg of the journey through the rainforest, experiencing the lush environment. A vehicle will transport you back to your hotel in Arusha.
