Day 1: Start trekking from Londorosi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

After a 4-hour drive from Moshi, we'll reach Londorosi Gate. From there, we'll begin our trek through the lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp. Expect to encounter wildlife and enjoy the rich flora along the way. We'll spend the night at Mti Mkubwa Camp, nestled in the rainforest.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp trek to Shira One Camp

We'll start early, hiking through the tropical rainforest and gradually ascending to the giant moorland zone. Enjoy a picturesque lunch break in a beautiful valley near the Shira Crater. Continuing across the Shira Plateau, we'll reach Shira One Camp. Take in the stunning views of the summit and rest at the camp for the night.

Day 3: Proceed trekking from Shira One Camp to Shira Two Camp

Our trek continues across the Shira Plateau, offering panoramic vistas of the plateau and surrounding landscapes. The hike is relatively shorter today, allowing for acclimatization. We'll arrive at Shira Two Camp, situated at an elevation of 3,840m. Take in the remarkable scenery and settle in for the night.

Day 4: Shira Two Camp trek to Barranco Camp

Embark on a trek through the alpine desert, leaving behind the lush vegetation. We'll ascend to the Lava Tower, a unique volcanic formation, before descending to Barranco Camp. Along the way, you'll witness the impressive Lobelia deckenii and Senecio lobelia plants. Rest and spend the night at Barranco Camp.

Day 5: From Barranco Camp trek to Karanga Valley Camp

After breakfast, we'll tackle the famous Barranco Wall, a thrilling rock climb. Once conquered, we'll continue through the stunning alpine desert until we reach Karanga Valley, our campsite for the night. Take in the breathtaking surroundings and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Day 6: Karanga Valley Camp scrumble up to Barafu Camp

As we approach the final stretch, we'll trek through the alpine desert, catching glimpses of Kibo Peak. Arriving at Barafu Camp, situated at 4,600m, we'll have lunch and rest. Take this time to prepare for the summit push. After dinner, get some sleep before the early morning ascent.

Day 7: Barafu Camp summit to Uhuru Peak descend to Mweka Camp

At midnight, we'll begin the challenging ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. The climb will be demanding but rewarding as you witness the sunrise from Stella Point and eventually reach Uhuru Peak. Take in the awe-inspiring views before descending to Barafu Camp. After a short rest, we'll continue down to Mweka Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

The final day of our trek will take us through the enchanting rainforest. Descend for about 10 km, passing through the natural forest, until we reach Mweka Gate. Here, you'll collect your summit certificates and bid farewell to the mountain. Our representative will transfer you back to your hotel in Moshi.
