RELATED FAQS ABOUT 8 Days Luxury Christmas and New Year Kenya Safari

    1. Can the same package be booked for Christmas or New Year?

Yes. The itinerary can operate during Christmas, New Year or the festive period between them. The exact lodge celebration depends on the travel dates and selected accommodation. The quotation should identify where guests will stay on December 24, December 25, December 31 or January 1 when these dates fall within the safari.

    2. Are Christmas and New Year meals automatically included?

Not always. Some properties include festive meals in their seasonal rates, while others charge compulsory supplements. Christmas lunches, gala dinners, countdowns and entertainment differ between lodges. The final quotation must state clearly what is included.

    3. Will every lodge have decorations and entertainment?

No. One property may offer music, decorations and a large gala dinner, while another may provide a quieter meal and simple seasonal hospitality. Guests seeking a particular type of celebration should request details before booking.

    4. Are festive-season prices higher?

Christmas and New Year are popular travel periods, and many properties apply peak-season or festive supplements. Private vehicles, family rooms and flights may also be in high demand. The final price depends on exact dates, accommodation and group size.

    5. Is the package suitable for families and grandparents?

Yes. The private vehicle allows additional comfort stops, flexible activity lengths and suitable meal times. Family rooms, connecting rooms, ground-floor accommodation and dietary needs should be requested early.

    6. Can cakes, gifts and room decorations be arranged?

Yes. Cakes, flowers, gifts, room decorations, written messages and private meals may be requested in advance. Availability and cost depend on the lodge and location. Remote properties may have limited access to highly customised products.

    7. Are fireworks allowed at safari lodges?

Fireworks may be restricted or prohibited because loud noise can disturb wildlife, guests and nearby communities. Some properties use music, indoor events or quieter countdowns instead. Guests should never bring or use fireworks without explicit permission.

    8. Is December or early January suitable for wildlife viewing?

Resident wildlife remains present throughout the year. Rainfall may influence road conditions, vegetation and animal distribution but can also create green landscapes and dramatic skies. Wildlife sightings remain natural and cannot be guaranteed.

    9. Can a beach extension be added?

Yes. The safari can continue to Diani, Mombasa, Watamu or Zanzibar. Beach hotels and flights are also popular during the festive season, so the extension should be reserved early. The best connection depends on the final dates and departure airport.

    10. What happens if holiday traffic delays the Nairobi return?

The guide will plan an early departure and allow reasonable travel time, but festive traffic can still create delays. Guests should not schedule international flights too close to the expected Nairobi arrival. Travel insurance covering delays and missed connections is recommended.
