Day 1: Londorossi Gate (7,742 ft) to Mti Mkubwa Camp (9,498 ft).

After a drive from Moshi to the gate, we start our climb through the lush Rain Forest. The 6 km climb takes about 3-4 hours, and we settle in at Mti Mkubwa Camp for dinner and overnight.

Leaving the forest behind, we ascend into the heather moorland zone. The 8 km climb lasts 5-6 hours, with scenic views along the way. We reach Shira 1 Camp at 11,500 ft for the night.

We start our summit push in the early morning, hiking in darkness towards Uhuru Peak, the highest point of Kilimanjaro. After reaching the summit, we descend to Mweka Camp via Barafu Camp. The total distance is 4.5 km uphill and 10.7 km downhill. The climb to the summit takes 7-8 hours, while the descent to Mweka Camp lasts 6-8 hours.

After breakfast, we descend to Mweka Park Gate to receive our summit certificates. The 8.5 km climb takes 4-6 hours through the Rain Forest habitat. From the gate, we return to the hotel in Moshi for a well-deserved hot shower and rest.
