    After a drive from Moshi to the gate, we start our climb through the lush Rain Forest. The 6 km climb takes about 3-4 hours, and we settle in at Mti Mkubwa Camp for dinner and overnight.

    Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak (19,341 ft), then to Mweka Camp (10,065 ft).

    We start our summit push in the early morning, hiking in darkness towards Uhuru Peak, the highest point of Kilimanjaro. After reaching the summit, we descend to Mweka Camp via Barafu Camp. The total distance is 4.5 km uphill and 10.7 km downhill. The climb to the summit takes 7-8 hours, while the descent to Mweka Camp lasts 6-8 hours.

    Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate (5,380 ft).

    After breakfast, we descend to Mweka Park Gate to receive our summit certificates. The 8.5 km climb takes 4-6 hours through the Rain Forest habitat. From the gate, we return to the hotel in Moshi for a well-deserved hot shower and rest.
