The route includes Maasai Mara’s famous grasslands, Lake Nakuru’s rhinos and woodland, Lake Naivasha’s freshwater environment and Amboseli’s elephant country. Our guide provides clear, age-appropriate explanations and allows reasonable comfort stops during long transfers. RELATED FAQS ABOUT 8 Days Premium Family Safari from Nairobi

What is the recommended minimum age?

Children of different ages can participate, but long drives and extended game viewing may be difficult for very young children. Lodge and activity age limits must be confirmed.

    Are child seats available?

Child or booster seats may be arranged when requested early. Parents should provide the child’s age, height and weight to identify a suitable option.

    Can family rooms be booked?

Yes, subject to availability. Family suites, interconnecting rooms and additional beds vary between properties and must be confirmed in writing.

    Are meals suitable for children?

Many premium lodges provide simple child-friendly options. Allergies, medical diets and preferred mealtimes should be shared before travel.

    Who supervises children?

Parents or appointed guardians retain full responsibility. Guides and lodge staff provide safari services but do not replace guardians or childcare professionals.

    Are swimming pools available?

Some selected properties have pools, but availability differs. Children must be supervised continuously and follow the property’s safety rules.

    Can game drives be shortened?

Private transport offers flexibility, although park distances and entry rules still apply. Split drives may be arranged where lodge location makes them practical.

Is the Naivasha boat trip safe for children?

Participation depends on operator age limits, correctly fitting life jackets and water conditions. The captain’s safety decision is final.

    What should children pack?

Pack neutral clothing, warm layers, sun protection, closed shoes, prescribed medication and quiet entertainment for transfers. Avoid camouflage-pattern clothing.

    Are child discounts available?

Some parks and properties offer age-based rates. Valid travel documents and the individual supplier’s age rules determine eligibility.
