Celebrate your love on an 8-day premium Kenya honeymoon safari through Bogoria, Nakuru, Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli.
This 8-day premium Kenya honeymoon safari blends privacy, wildlife and beautiful scenery across Lake Bogoria, Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli. The private road journey allows couples to experience geothermal landscapes, Rift Valley lakes, celebrated savannah wildlife, a peaceful lakeside retreat and Amboseli’s elephant country. Premium lodges and tented camps are selected for comfort, service and romantic atmosphere, while optional arrangements may include a private dinner, room decoration, cake, flowers or an authorized sundowner. These services must be confirmed in advance and may involve additional costs. Wildlife encounters, flamingo concentrations, sunset conditions and views of Mount Kilimanjaro remain natural rather than guaranteed.
Private Nairobi Welcome
Our guide will meet you at JKIA or your confirmed Nairobi hotel between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. After a private journey briefing, travel 270–300 km through Kenya’s central highlands, Nakuru and Marigat. The drive takes 5–6½ hours excluding lunch, traffic and scenic stops. A comfortable stop overlooking the Rift Valley may be included when weather and road conditions allow.
Bogoria Sunset Experience
Arrive for lunch or during the early afternoon and settle into your premium accommodation. Around 3:30 p.m., explore permitted areas near Lake Bogoria, where steep escarpments, geothermal activity and seasonal waterbirds create a dramatic introduction to the honeymoon. Flamingo numbers vary and cannot be promised. Guests must remain on safe ground and follow instructions near hot springs. Return before darkness for dinner. Flowers, sparkling wine, room decoration or a private table can be requested before arrival, subject to property rules and additional charges.
Peaceful Bogoria Morning
Enjoy breakfast around 6:00 a.m. bef ore visiting the lake during the cooler hours. Morning light may illuminate steam, rugged slopes and birdlife along accessible shoreline sections. Your private guide will allow enough time for photographs while maintaining safe distances from geothermal features. Return to the accommodation, check out and depart around 9:00 a.m.
Premium Nakuru Stay
Travel 110–130 km through Marigat to Lake Nakuru, taking 2½–3½ hours excluding lunch and road delays. After check-in and relaxation, begin an afternoon game drive at approximately 3:30 p.m. Explore lake viewpoints, woodland and open clearings while searching for rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, baboons and birds. Water levels determine which shoreline routes remain accessible. Return near sunset for a warm shower, dinner and a quiet evening together at your premium lodge.
Wildlife before Breakfast
Depart around 6:30 a.m. for a final drive through Lake Nakuru’s cooler morning habitats. Your guide may explore forest edges, grassland and viewpoints according to recent wildlife movement. Particular species cannot be guaranteed, but the private vehicle allows a relaxed pace. Return for breakfast, complete check-out and begin the transfer between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m.
Romantic Mara Arrival
Travel 230–270 km through Mau Narok or another suitable route, taking 5–6½ hours excluding lunch and road conditions. Arrive in Maasai Mara, check into your premium camp and rest before an introductory drive around 4:00 p.m. if daylight permits. The open plains may reveal elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes and predators. Return near sunset for dinner. A honeymoon cake or private table may be arranged when requested and confirmed in advance.
Intimate Savannah Exploration
Breakfast begins around 6:00 a.m., followed by departure between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Your private safari vehicle explores grasslands, riverine areas and seasonal waterways without requiring you to follow another group’s pace. Our guide will interpret animal behaviour while searching for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas and birds. Wildlife remains unpredictable, and seasonal migration activity cannot be guaranteed.
Picnic in the Mara
A picnic lunch is served at an authorized location between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Continue exploring during the afternoon, allowing time for photographs and peaceful observation. An authorized sundowner may be requested through the confirmed accommodation, but location, weather, park regulations and additional charges apply. Return between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. for a private dinner where available, followed by a comfortable night surrounded by the atmosphere of the African savannah.
Farewell to the Mara
A short morning game drive may begin around 6:30 a.m. when lodge location and park-entry conditions permit. Enjoy the changing light and a final opportunity to observe wildlife before returning for breakfast. Check out between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m., keeping valuables and important honeymoon documents inside your personal day bag.
Romantic Naivasha Retreat
Travel 220–250 km through Narok and Mai Mahiu, requiring 4½–6 hours excluding lunch, traffic and comfort stops. Arrive at Lake Naivasha in the afternoon and settle into your premium lakeside room. You may spend the remaining daylight relaxing within designated lodge grounds or enjoying views of the water. Do not approach the shoreline without guidance, and use staff escorts after dark where required because hippos may enter unfenced properties. Dinner is served around 7:30 p.m.
Private Boat Experience
After breakfast at approximately 6:30 a.m., an optional 60–90-minute private boat excursion may be arranged. The approved operator will provide life jackets and assess wind and water conditions before departure. The lake may reveal fish eagles, pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers and shoreline wildlife. The activity can be omitted if you prefer a quiet morning at the lodge.
Road to Amboseli
Check out and travel 330–370 km through Mai Mahiu, Nairobi’s outskirts and Emali. Driving takes 6–8 hours excluding lunch, traffic and comfort stops. Arrive at your premium Amboseli accommodation during the late afternoon. A short drive may be included if entry arrangements and daylight allow; otherwise, enjoy the lodge and prepare for the following morning. A private dinner or room decoration can be requested, but it must be confirmed before travel and may cost extra.
Kilimanjaro Morning
Begin between 6:15 and 6:30 a.m., when cooler conditions may provide clearer views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Cloud cover remains unpredictable, so mountain visibility cannot be guaranteed. Our guide will explore wetlands, woodland and open plains while searching for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, predators and birds. The private vehicle provides flexibility for photographs and quiet observation.
Romantic Safari Afternoon
Lunch is served between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. at the lodge or an authorized picnic location. Continue your wildlife experience during the afternoon, watching how animals use Amboseli’s spring-fed wetlands and drier plains. An authorized sundowner, bush meal or special honeymoon setup may be requested subject to location, safety, availability and additional cost. Return between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. for dinner and your final premium safari night together.
Final Wildlife Moments
A final game drive may start around 6:30 a.m. when flight plans, lodge position and entry conditions allow. This is another opportunity to observe elephants, birds and the early light across Amboseli. Alternatively, enjoy a relaxed breakfast and extra time together at the accommodation. Complete check-out between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m.
Return to Nairobi
Travel 200–240 km through Emali to Nairobi, requiring 4–5½ hours excluding lunch, traffic and comfort stops. Our guide will take you to JKIA, Wilson Airport or a confirmed Nairobi hotel. Couples continuing to a beach holiday can connect with an appropriate flight only when sufficient transfer time has been allowed. We recommend a late-evening departure or an additional Nairobi night to protect your plans from possible road delays.
