The 8-day Northern Circuit route is a captivating and less-traveled journey to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Your adventure begins at Londorossi Gate (2,100 meters) in the West, where you'll register with the Kilimanjaro National Park authorities before proceeding to the trailhead. After a short drive, the trek starts, taking you through a mesmerizing rainforest zone. Keep your eyes peeled as you might be fortunate enough to spot some large wildlife like elephants and buffaloes along the way. Your destination for the day is Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820 meters), where dinner will be served upon arrival. Meals for today include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Leaving Mti Mkubwa Camp behind, you will spend the first hour trekking through the last section of the rainforest before entering the low alpine moorland zone, leading up to the Shira Plateau. The day's trek is relatively short and gradual, and you will arrive at Shira 1 Camp (3,610 meters) for a well-deserved rest. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Today's journey takes you across the Shira Plateau from Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp, where you'll join trekkers from the Machame Route. However, as part of the Northern Circuit Route, you'll continue east through the 'Garden of the Senecios' and then enter the high alpine desert zone, finally arriving at Moir Hut Camp (4,200 meters). Today begins with a trek up the Buffalo ridge and down into Pofu Camp for lunch. The trek then leads east around the northern slopes, finally arriving at Third Cave Camp (3,800 meters). By this point, you should be well acclimatized to the altitude. Breakfast and lunch are included.

You'll start with a steady incline up and over the Saddle, nestled between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi. After reaching School Hut Camp (4,800 meters), you'll have an early dinner and get some rest before the midnight summit attempt. Prepare your gear and get ready for the summit trek. The most challenging and rewarding day awaits as you wake up around 11:30 pm to begin the steep ascent up the slopes of Kibo in darkness. Passing through Hans Meyer Cave and Gilman's Point (5,681 meters), you'll continue towards Uhuru Peak. Witness the breathtaking sunrise from the summit before retracing your steps to Stella Point (5,739 meters). Descend down the slopes of Kibo to Barafu Camp (4,680 meters) and further to Millenium Camp (3,950 meters) for your final night on the mountain. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
