After breakfast and a thorough briefing, we depart for Londorossi Gate, which takes approximately 2 hours. Once the entry formalities are completed, we begin our climb through the lush rainforest, where you might spot black and white colobus monkeys. After 2-3 hours, we arrive at Big Tree Camp (Mti Mkubwa Camp) for our first night on Kilimanjaro.
Leaving the rainforest behind, we enter the heathland and ascend towards the mountain ridge leading to the Shira Plateau. Enjoy stunning views of Kibo and Mount Meru as we cross peaceful streams and descend to Shira Camp 1. Tonight, we rest and take in the beauty of the surroundings.
Our climb continues through open moorland, offering more panoramic views of Kibo from the Shira Plateau. After reaching Shira Camp 2, we enjoy a warm lunch and have the opportunity to go on a short excursion for better acclimatization.
Today's stage is crucial for acclimatization. We pass massive boulders on our way to Lava Tower (4600m) before descending to the Barranco valley. Marvel at the glaciers and snowfields of Kibo, along with the striking Barranco Wall. We spend the night at Barranco Camp.
After breakfast, we tackle the famous Barranco Wall, requiring some light climbing and the use of hands. Once we reach the top, we enjoy breathtaking views of Kibo. The route then leads us through streams and the Karanga River to Karanga Camp, where we spend the night.
Today's climb offers great views of the Karanga Valley and the Rebmann Glacier. We climb steadily, passing the Lava Ridge, until we reach Barafu Camp. From here, the view of Mawenzi, the second highest peak of Kilimanjaro, is truly spectacular. After an early dinner, we prepare for the final ascent.
Around midnight, we start our climb to the summit. The climb is challenging but rewarding. At sunrise, we reach Stella Point on the crater rim, and shortly after, we stand on Uhuru Peak. Take in the awe-inspiring views before beginning the descent. After a break at Barafu Camp, we continue to Mweka Camp, where a well-deserved rest awaits.
After breakfast, we climb for 2-3 hours through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Here, we bid farewell to our mountain team. Upon arrival at the hotel, you can enjoy hot shower, comfortable bed, and clean clothes. Your guide will visit to present your summit certificate and celebrate your achievement
