We depart from Moshi and drive to Londorossi Gate for entry formalities. From there, we start hiking through the rainforest to MtiMkubwa Camp. It's a 3–4-hour hike with an elevation gain from 7,742 ft to 9,498 ft. Expect lush vegetation and possible wildlife sightings.

We begin by hiking up a ridge and heading towards the impressive Lava Tower. Afterward, we descend to Barranco Camp through the unique Senecio Forest. This day helps with acclimatization, with an elevation gain to 15,190 ft and then descent to 13,044 ft.

Starting at midnight, we embark on the challenging summit push. Ascending in darkness, we eventually reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After enjoying the sunrise, we descend to Mweka Camp through the rocky trail, with an elevation loss from 19,341 ft to 10,065 ft.
