Return to the vehicle afterward and continue through the highlands.

10:00 AM to 2:30 PM Highland Road Journey and Lunch

Take enough time to refresh and rest after the morning game drive before beginning several more hours in the vehicle. Your guide will check the vehicle and prepare for the final drive out portion of the itinerary. Once everyone is ready, leave the Mikumi region.

11:00 AM to Evening Drive Out to Dar es Salaam

Travel entirely by road back to Dar es Salaam, completing the full drive in drive out Southern Tanzania circuit. Stop for lunch and refreshments along the route and enjoy the countryside for one final time before approaching busier urban surroundings. Arrival depends on traffic and road conditions, so the driver will maintain a realistic and safe pace throughout. Reach Dar es Salaam later in the day and complete the nine day overland safari.
