Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins when you arrive at Londrossi Gate. Here, you'll meet your knowledgeable guides and get the permits needed for climbing. Surrounded by friendly mountain villages, you'll see fellow climbers getting ready. The trail takes you through beautiful rainforests. Your guide will share interesting stories about the local plants, animals, and wildlife. While hiking, you might come across some muddy and slippery areas, but your climbing poles and gaiters will help you stay steady.

After a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast, you'll leave the rainforest behind and start climbing up to the impressive Shira Plateau. The path goes uphill, giving you great views of the land below. As you go higher, it'll get colder, showing you that you're reaching higher altitudes on your climb.

Today, you'll climb across the Shira Plateau, one of the highest flat areas on Earth. You're headed to Shira II Camp, where other climbers on the nine-day route will join you. The view from the plateau lets you see the Western Breach of Kilimanjaro, which makes the climb even more exciting. Because the plateau is open, it can get quite cold, especially at night.

Your journey takes you through the high alpine landscape as you head to Lava Tower, also known as the "Shark's Tooth." The climb isn't steep, but it's important for getting used to higher places. Afterward, you'll go down to Barranco Camp, which is an important spot for the nights that follow.

Climbing out of Moir Valley, you can choose to climb Little Lent Hill before getting back on the Northern Circuit trail. On the way, you'll see amazing views of the northern side of Kibo and the huge plains that stretch toward the Tanzanian-Kenyan border. When you reach Buffalo Camp, you can rest and have a good lunch.

Today's climb is shorter, and you should be feeling more comfortable with the altitude. You'll pass through the Buffalo Ridge and Pofu Camp, and then you'll arrive at Rongai Third Cave in the afternoon.

You'll go over the Saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi Peak to reach School Hut. You'll have an early dinner here before starting your summit attempt at midnight. With your gear ready and excitement building up, you'll try to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro and in Africa.

Starting in the middle of the night, reaching the summit takes a lot of mental and physical effort. You'll climb over the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers to get to Stella Point on the rim of the crater. The sunrise from here is amazing. The final part of the climb takes you to Uhuru Peak, a really big accomplishment. After celebrating, you'll start descending to Mweka Camp through Barafu, where you'll have lunch. The path might be tricky, but your climbing poles and gaiters will help you on the volcanic ash and loose rocks.

After breakfast and a special ceremony with your team, you'll keep going down to Mweka Gate, where your adventure ends. The weather will be warmer, and the trail might be muddy and steep. Keep using your gaiters and climbing poles as you walk to the gate. Once you're there, you'll get certificates for reaching the summit, and then you'll be driven back to Moshi. At your hotel, you can finally take a hot shower and enjoy some celebrations to mark the end of your amazing climbing journey.
