Your exciting Kilimanjaro adventure begins as we head to Londorossi Gate, which takes around 4 hours from Moshi. At the gate, we'll complete the necessary entry formalities before proceeding to the Lemosho trailhead. The climb begins through an undisturbed rainforest, where you might spot various wildlife. Today's journey concludes at Mti Mkubwa campsite, situated at an elevation of 9,498 ft. The climb covers a distance of 6 km/4 miles and takes 3-4 hours. Leaving Mti Mkubwa, we venture out of the rainforest and step into a savannah landscape adorned with tall grasses, heather, and volcanic rocks. The scenic climb takes us to Shira 1 Camp at an elevation of 11,500 ft. Along the way, marvel at the breathtaking views of Kibo, one of Kilimanjaro's iconic peaks. Today's climb spans approximately 8 km/5 miles and takes 5-6 hours. You'll be climbing through the fascinating heath habitat.

This little-used trail adds a sense of mountain wilderness to your experience.

Leaving Moir Hut, you'll trek out of Moir Valley and climb up Buffalo Ridge, a route less traveled, offering a sense of remote mountain adventure. The day's climb concludes at Buffalo Camp, situated at an elevation of 13,200 ft. Along the way, relish the remarkable vistas that extend across the plains to the Kenyan/Tanzanian border.

Continuing on the trail, you'll head up Buffalo Ridge, relishing the sparse yet beautiful terrain. Today's climb will take around 5-7 hours and presents the unique heath habitat.

As you climb steadily up and over the "Saddle" between Kibo and Mawenzi, the scenery becomes more barren, indicating your approach to the Alpine Desert habitat. Today's destination is School Hut at an elevation of 15,600 ft. Rest well and prepare for the summit day with an early dinner.

The most challenging yet rewarding part of your journey awaits as you embark on the push to the summit, Uhuru Peak, standing tall at 19,341 ft. You'll begin around midnight, ascending in the darkness for several hours, until you witness a magnificent sunrise at Gilman's Point (18,600 ft). From there, you'll continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After celebrating your accomplishment, you'll make your way back down to Mweka Camp, situated at 10,065 ft, passing through the Arctic habitat.

Your final descent takes you to Mweka Gate, where you'll collect your well-deserved summit certificates. From Mweka Gate, you'll proceed to Mweka Village, where a vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to your hotel in Moshi.
