However, the awe-inspiring sunrise over Mawenzi Peak from Gilman's Point at 18,600 ft makes it all worthwhile. After reaching Uhuru Peak, we descend to Mweka Camp through rocky terrain. The day's efforts are rewarded with a well-earned rest and dinner.
