The 9-day Northern Circuit route Kilimanjaro climbing is a remarkable expedition that takes you on a journey of a lifetime. After a delicious breakfast at the lodge, your journey to Mount Kilimanjaro officially begins. You'll be driven to the Londorossi Gate, situated at an elevation of 2,250 meters. Once the necessary registration formalities are completed, the real adventure commences. You'll be Climb through the lush and pristine rainforest, accompanied by an armed ranger for safety, as wild game can be found in the area. The trail leads to the Mti Mkubwa Camp (Big Tree Camp) at 2,780 meters, where you will spend the night in tents.

Today, you continue your ascent, leaving the rainforest behind and entering the savannah characterized by tall grasses, heather, and volcanic rocks adorned with lichen. As you ascend through the rolling hills, you will cross several streams until you reach the Shira Ridge, offering you the first breathtaking view of Kibo, one of Mount Kilimanjaro's three peaks. Your destination for the day is the Shira 1 Camp at an altitude of 3,850 meters, where you will be served breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The climb today involves less elevation gain compared to the previous day, ascending to 3,800 meters. You'll spend the night at the Buffalo Camp.

Continuing on your climb, you'll climb to the top of Buffalo Ridge, crossing various ridges and gullies as you head eastwards. The landscape becomes sparser as you ascend, and you'll finally reach the Third Cave Camp at 3,800 meters. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the camp, and take in the unique beauty of the surroundings.

Today's leg takes you over the "saddle," a lava-flow formation connecting two of Mount Kilimanjaro's peaks, Mawenzi and Kibo. You'll reach the School Hut Camp at an altitude of 4,750 meters in about 4.5 to 5 hours. Rest early in preparation for your summit attempt, which will begin around 11 p.m.
